Seriously, what infuriates me is that when teams lose you have those 1 or 2 people saying it was a "brave loss", "we had injured players." It's very annoying. (Thank god majority of wce aren't sympathetic). But the good teams such as hawthorn are able to play well without some key players.

Losing games is unacceptable and should never be used as an excuse. If eagles lose without mcgovern; I will still be pissed and I will not give any sympathy.

There is no such thing as "brave losses." If you can't steal a game that's just down right horrible.

Big losses are more "brave" then close losses.

Interesting POV... hmm... I remember when Melbourne lost to Geelong by 186 points. I guess I should have really acknowledged how tremendously brave that was.

Sometimes it's not an excuse, but a reason.

You're kidding yourself if you think the Gold Coast should view themselves as a bottom 2-3 team when they lost Ablett, Swallow, Bennell, Prestia, Martin, O'Maera, Dixon and a bunch others. That's pretty much their best 7 players.

Take Hodge, Mitchell, Lewis, Burgoyne, Roughead, Rioli and Gibson out of Hawthorn at the same time, plus a heap of depth and role players, and they aren't winning many games.

Since its only 1 or 2 people, you may as well name them....

Seriously, if THIS infuriates you, I have pity.

Hawks were losing games without Hodge and Lewis earlier in the season IIRC.

Agreed. There's no such thing as a 'brave loss'. The footy community really shits me sometimes.
Disagree - Adelaide losing first game after coaches untimely death - I call it brave that they were even able to play.

Respect. And good win today.
