Can we upgrade Assistant coaches for 2022?

the only assistant coach I've listened to that left me with the impression, sheesh he knows his onions , anyone would be lucky to have them is Leppa. IMHO no one else has come anywhere near him for footy smarts . so it by and large comes down to reputation and being in the right place at the right time.

Kingsley still contracted and a club wouldn’t pay out a contract of an assistant unless they are going for the top job

Might as well stay until another senior coaching gig opens up. Could be two next year with Chris Scott out of contract and depending on how Gold Coast go big Stewie might be out part way through the year

X gets involved with the senior side as well, usually from the dugout. Fly did the same.... Dimma gives his understudies plenty of opportunity.

I don’t mind Lonegan. Has coached his own teams in TFL and SANFL and just starting his AFL coaching journey. VFL will be so important next year I would consider putting him in charge of the VFL program. We have heap of kids who have missed so much footy plus an expected update to our game style will make this role so

Chaplin and Stafford would be good to get back. Generally speaking, add in Darren Burgess, seems like Melbourne heavily invested in their coaches. Just proves the impact it can have if you have the right people.

Interesting they only have the 1 midfield coach, we have midfield stoppage and a midfield offensive coach.
With the new stand rule that has reduced stoppages maybe you don’t need 2 midfield coaches.

Or maybe the 1 coach is more streamlined and less complicated for the players.

Or maybe they just have awesome players in the midfield and it doesn’t matter how many coaches they have.

Does anyone else think of all this stuff as soon as they wake up in the morning?
