After the knee-jerk reaction to the Knights dominance of the 90's, and the resultant preferential zones given to the new team (Cannons) is it now time to stop these concessions to the Cannons ala the cut backs now being felt by the Lions after their success.
With the Jets and Knights now perennial cellar dwellers due to the unfair zones in this region, maybe the VFL could review this situation to give all players in the area a fair chance of success.
No doubt the Calder mafia will think they are succesful for other reasons, but like the Lions the concessional treatment they have received has no doubt contributed to their success over the last 4 years.
