True Blood is HBO's worst show in years. It had a decent first season, but gone downhill rapidly since. Boardwalk Empire and Game of Thrones is where it's at.

Never got hooked on True Blood, watched the first series through but wasn't motivated to go further.
Game of [strike] nerds [/strike] Thrones is pretty good and booby-filled. Six Feet Under, The Wire, Deadwood, Carnivale all excellent H(o)BO. Have to get my hands on Breaking Bad.
I lived on campus at University, and one of the traditions is that freshers (1st years) get given a name by the older guys that they are known as for their first year.
Usually it involves a bunch of drunk 3rd/4th year students getting a list of incoming students names, a photo and sometimes some background and coming up with a funny name.
Strike rate for humour is quite good early in the night, but it goes downhill fast.
My surname is Thomson, and my fresher named ended up being Tin Tin. God it sucked.
