Surely you jest! The only 'great' thing about that game was that it eventually ended, and put people out of their misery.

The 'skills' on display by both teams were deplorable, and to claim that it was in any way a 'special win' is just madness.

Reading about it on Dockerland is a hoot - Lyall Johnson is being excoriated for his outstandingly accurate match report. Can't have the truth!! (And conversely, the West's excessively nice report isn't being mentioned as all the self-appointed experts (ie nuffies) are decrying how appalling every journalist ever born is...)

Don't get me wrong - four ponts is four points, and you can only play the team you're drawn against, but the Tigers were abysmal, and Freo were only a little better. As a game, it was worse than even the Freo-Crows game back in Rd 3.

In fact, the only funnier thing on Dockerland at the moment are the crazy estimations of Polak's current worth...

Get real, as a half it was deplorable, and every bit as bad as the freo-crows game. But in that game we never hit our straps and never really played any good footy at all.

The second half of this game, while not excellent footy and made to look better because of richmonds insipid effort, was most definately better. We did actually play well, watch a tape, watch it again, surely you'll agree.

Keep it in context, but dont deny it was still a good come from behind win (the fact we should never have been behind in the first place is irrelevant).
