In the 2005 photo shoot, that was where Kingy was sitting.
Unless Lingy or someone is on the other side of Bomber then could Mooney be captain. Big suprise if he is.

Looking at those photos, Ling can't been seen but I would be very suprised if the captaincy wasn't given to either King or Ling.

But that's not taking away anything from the other 5 leaders, who would make fantastic captains also.

A search for "Geelong Cats" brought up lots of interesting pics. Unfortunately, it also brought up a few of you know who from you know which game.... Anyhow, here is one of Joel Corey with the beard :)

that front row are all smiling WAY too much for my liking. I suspect it's a stunt, the leadership group playing musical chairs for several combinations of Captain just to keep us guessing.

However, IF by some freak of fate Mooney was given the captaincy, I'd be interested to see how it would affect his growth as a player.

mooney has undoubtedly come on in leaps and bounds in the last 6-9 months, but I don't see him being appointed captain... especially when Ling is seemingly the heir apparent

I would love to see Cam captain GFC.

If he has cooled his temper, what better guy could you have leading the club? He leads from the front, hits packs hard, plays the pill, always looking after team mates.

I think it would be a good move to give this guy a real purpose on the field rather than him being the fill in man for any position on the ground like he currently is.

With saying that, i would love to see him in the middle alot more this year and consistanly playing games like he did against Melbourne and Sydney in the 2005 finals series.

It could be D.Johnno but you may be right.
Good point. Just assumed that cos Chappy was in that spot in the other pics it was him.

Can't wait till season starts and they grow some hair, or shave some off, as the case may be.
