Whom had doubts?
Unless you are saying he was not particularly vocal as non captain.
I think a lot had doubts if he was ready like Murphy wasn't.I was one of those doubters.

I was so wrong and happy to admit it.

He is an absolute gun and perfect captain

As late as last year I was in favour of Luke Ball "caretaking" the captaincy for a year until Pendlebury was ready to bear the torch. I'm now extremely happy to admit I was wrong, wrong, wrong.

I just cant stop watching this. Its mesmerising. I keep coming back to this thread, to watch it over and over and over again...Pendles' disdain for Daisy is palpable.
In a Black & White show from last season I remember Pendles being asked what he thought about Daisy and he said he met him first when he was playing with his brother Kris and thought Daisy was a "bit of a flog" IIRC.

Normally the stuff in those episodes is not worth remembering :p But it always stuck with me the way he said it as if that impression still held true to some extent. Basically confirmed it with that incident - absolute contempt the way he ragdolled him :D:thumbsu:

I never saw a reason to doubt him

Most professional and hard working guy in our team. Will go down as one of the best Collingwood players of all time

I'll put my hand up as one who had doubts. Hadn't noticed peddles do the follow me lads style of play previously! Clearly I wasn't watching, great choice and happy to be proven wrong. Was also in the Ball for a year or two camp, which may be more about my respect for that particular champ!
