Captain Selection: Round 14

Who should I put out of West, Bruce, Lappin, Cox, BJ, C.Cornes, Pav ,Riewoldt, Chapman?

Option this round
Cox - Been in good form, at home against charman could be a good option
CCornes/Johnson - I'm steering clear of these 2 as i'm worried they may end up on each other
Pav - Not against sydney
GAblett - Could well dominate against the bombers under the nice warm dome roof
Kerr - Been ok and if Judd and Cous play will cop less attention
Riewoldt - Could dominate against the pies undermanned backline, but he's inconsistent.
Lappin - been slipping under the radar a bit amongst the rest of the lions midfield and has been scoring well accordingly, not sure how long before other teams start to tag him more heavily though.
Bowden - been scoring well and not likley to be need as a KPP against the roos.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Agree with you on them.
Had also penciled in BJ, Chornes, Westy and Cox.
Agree Cox may dominate at home, only con i heard is it might rain.
Had selected BJ last night but agree with you Chornes may pick him.
Brought West in last week so I may give him a run, as it's at the dome. But Port have a few good midfielders that could also tag him.
Hadn't thought of Bowden but it's a very good call too...

Guess it's a good thing to have so many options

With Wakelin out I think I'll still stick to BJ. Playing a very weak opponent this week so it's not CSC this week (Captain Selection Critical - lock that in!).
Think BJ may score big!

Yeap, at the dome ill go Gablett this week. Probally the hardest week to pick a skipper for me though. Was out of Bruce/Chapman/Pav/Gablett

This horrible nagging voice in my head is saying Fletcher, Fletcher because Geelong have no real tall forwards so he will run rampage in the backline. I am still not sure and I have so many options...

Geelong have no tall forward? Mooney, Hawkins, Ottens? Thats pretty bloody tall. Granted Ottens will play ruck, but only half the game, with Blake doing the rest. Fletcher has been named at CHF anyway.

My choices

West = You know he'll score at least 80pts, and might be a good choice.
Judd = Coming back from injury, wouldn't be the safest option.
BJ = May get C.Cornes, if this is the case will be a good enough to get 100
Pav = Playing Sydney at the SCG - enough said.
J.Brown = Playing West Coast, only Adelaide have less pts kicked against them.

Such a tough week. Leaning towards West, but K.Cornes murdered Blacks DT points, might happen again with West?

Nar its just this whole thread weve been discussing captain options, going through all the parameters, giving as much info as possible and this guy asks us to look at his team and pick a captain. IF he narrowed it down to 2 or 3 it would be fine, but not out of 10 players.

Nope. Switched the captaincy from Bartel to Cornes. Have to admit, I didnt even think about Chapman as captain - wish I had now. Oh well.

Did anyone else put West as Captain after listening to all the hype about him in this thread? I did and and didnt pay off this week . Does anyone know the extent of the injury yet?
