Universal Love Captain Tex

The boys are his little brothers. And like all older siblings should be - they will love you, care for you, and support you, but they are also your harshest critics because of this and are demanding of you because they want you to be better and know you can be better. That's Tex.

What he does in this, and just maybe next, game will ultimately define Taylor Walker.

If he rises to the challenge, if he pulls us over the line with his leadership and play, he'll become a legendary club figure almost like no other.

Ricciuto and McLeod are our greatest players, but McLeod never captained and Roo for all his 2005 leadership couldnt drag us over the line when it mattered. Bickley was a great captain, but was never a dominant figure that defined the playing group in the same way that Tex currently is.

If we don't win a premiership Tex will join so many at our club that promised a lot but just couldnt get it done.

But to get us there. After everything we've been through. That's the sort of thing that gets your name brought up forever.

Agree. If he wins us a premiership he is our greatest ever captain. Locked in.

How ******* good was the staredown again? How good was what tex did after it? That little step towards them. Doesn't do a lot, but means so much

Video of it in this article:

And how ******* pumped was Tex after the game? Was so excited, but also knows there is s till a job to do

2 finals jobs down. 1 to go. Let's finish this ******* thing!

Interesting game for Tex. His first 15 minutes was brilliant, he then faded a bit in the middle stages but was unlucky at times.

He then finished the game like a captain should

Love you Big Tex.

So ******* proud of him and all the boys.
Do proud of the job Fages has done, what Walshy started and how Pykey had picked the baton and added to it.

For Phil. Do it for all of us Tex, but keep Phil in your back pocket all week use Hebert memory you have of him to drag you and the team to greatness.

Didn't dominate yesterday but played his role and had his moments.

Tex is one of our better finals players and I've always felt if we could get into a grand final he would step up to another level. Well here we are, lets see what he can deliver on the biggest stage.

On a side note, very glad there are no red cards in our game and anything that happens in the grand final will only mean games missed the following year, because I have a feeling some of our boys will be playing very aggressively!
