My best mate is going Pendles as captain and so I was thinking about playing it safe and going Pendles too just in case Pendles gets 160-170 against the Dees.

a few weeks ago it was 150 (and some people didn't even take 150 :O)
now I'd be happy with 130+ tbh

It only illustrates the importance if nailing the VC choice every single week. FWIW I think they should ditch it because for your average player it's a huge disadvantage if they don't understand the loopholes etc...

It will only be important if Ablett starts failing constantly. I've only used VC once this year (when Ablett got 75 ).

I like toxic's idea of the VC being worth 1.5x their score. Removes the loophole problem. Introduces a bit a skill in selection again.

or
160+

None of this middle of the road crap 130-150

We have some decent tagger's at Melb. IRC only Libba ad GAJ have managed a 160+ monster score against Melb this year. Pendles risky IMO, Beames safer.

Only two players in the entire AFL haven't scored less than 100 SC points all year.........
