errr.. cuse me but if we loose Cptn Kirk, BBBH, and leapin... then it would be a very hard job, would it matter?

My vote Not Goodes... he needs to be unemcumbered with any thought other than playing

TADGH KENEALLY..... can you just imagine the "fire spitting, wedgy delivering, half gealic, holy war, pre game speech!!!!!!!!!!.... they would play the 1st quarter before their feet hit the ground:thumbsu:

definately hey?? =)

well he would be very dependable as captain (his fitness & health).

look at buckly, voss, tredrea, riccuito... all great leaders but no point if ur sitting in the stands.

This is a pointless post. Goodes hasn't miss a game for 5 years or so. So what is your point?

The last time he missed a game in a year was 1999 his debut year!

To say he isn't durable is a farce!

Uhm, if u think im saying goodes is NOT reliable.... please refer to posts 10 through to 15!! (my convo with natlovestheswans).

Please read through previous statements made, it's not THAT long (this thread)... you avoid repeating things people have already explained.

I didn't mention anything about being reliable I said DURABLE. He hasn't missed a game since 1999.

Goodes is very hard to go past as a choice for Captain given this hypothetical situation. The guy is outstanding and can break a game - just what you want from a Captain.

Of the younger blokes - Malceski.

I have heard bad stories about Malceski being stuck up. I don't know if they're true all not though I haven't met the player but others that I know that have met him have said he's a bit stuck up :(

Hm, i don't think so. I've met him very briefly but he seemed nice enough. He's only very young aswell. I'm sure some of the Swans deal with fans better than others.. like Barry Hall and that because he's been doing it for alot longer than Malceski. I'm not sure, but maybe he's a little shy around the fans perhaps and because of that has been perceived as 'stuck up' when really he's not at all.

That's what I've been told, I've never met the person, so I'm not going to judge him until I met him.

How about Ryan O'Keefe as captain, I reckon he'll make a great captain.

The 'No **************** policy' :) I wouldn't judge him either unless i see it, and then I'll believe it.

ROK will make a great captain. He's a strong player and durable too. Hasn't missed a game last year and can lead others (especially the young ones) by example on and off the field. :thumbsu:

I would say Goodes as well. I don't believe you can say it would negatively impact his game as from memory he played pretty well when he was captain in 2005.
