The weather will be awful this friday night so can’t see Titch going absolutely huge because he relies on lots of marks for that. But he could just make that up in tackles. Think we can bank a safe 120 from Titch though, the pig should be squealing this week in the mud!

Yeah I thought about the rain being an issue and the only thing I thought it would effect is his kick to handball ratio. The rain will bring more congestion and thats where he will excel!

Just checked Fyfe's record against the Saints. Not too much data as they've only played once a year the last few years. He's scored 89, DNP, DNP, 99, DNP, 105, with that 105 score from 2013.

I'd expect Cogs to be a good option, with the WC v GWS game likely to be very free flowing. Recent history says midfielders on both sides score well.

Macrae scored 126 and 95 against the Lions last year and averages 100 against them over his last 4 games. Combine that with his current form and I've just talked myself into giving him the honours. Nice.

My only issue with Fyfe and previous years is that he wasnt a fantasy footballer, he certainly is now. It all comes down to the tag!

Cogs, that's exactly how I read it. It would be ballsy move considering his past few weeks but the Eagles play a style that Cogs will thrive on!

Only a small sample but the stats on Titch vs Sydney (courtesy of Calvin's Captains) don't make for great reading... 94 and 108 last year despite not really being tagged. Plenty of rain forecast which may/may not affect his scoring, plus Sydney haven't been an easy team to score against this year. I may end up looking like a muppet but there's more than enough doubt for me to avoid giving him the C this week.

Was seriously looking at Fyfe but his record against the Saints is a little worrying. Still think he'll be great though.

Probably going to take a punt on big Stef against the Doggies at this stage. Could really monster them and the fact the game is under the roof is a big plus in a round when there's plenty of bad weather expected in Melbourne.

I remember the game where he scored his 94 he hurt his ankle in the 3rd or 4th qtr so I wouldn't look too much into that score. Believe in the pig.

Good bit of research there. I'll be going Macrae almost certainly. But my boi Stef is giving me the itch

Titch, Macrae, Stef in that order for me

Same except I don’t have Stef, would have Cogs/Gawn third option

My home league opponent doesn’t have Titch and has captained Macrae most of the season. Wondering if I should just take him as a safe option, for score and for matchup.

I expect Macrae 120-140. Dry, high scoring game, goals.
I except Titch 110-160. Lots of possies and tackles, but less marks.

Hence probably go Macrae this week.

Personally I'm in the 'play it safe' boat. Even if Titch outscores Macrae this week, it shouldn't be by too much in the end so the difference probably won't be make or break for your league game

Yep agreed good call. Possibly 20 up, possibly 20 down. Better to match my opponent.

Enough doubt in my mind to not go Titch C. Just think he needs his marks to go big but should still tom up regardless. If I had Macrae I would go him as C. I also wish I had Stef instead of Sauce, he wil be massive against the dogs who only have Boyd as the main ruck. I took a punt and brought in Zorko this week, should I go all in and put the big C on him haha. I will probably put the C on Cogs but Macrae and Stef should go 130+

Calvin's captains

1. Jack Macrae - The No. 1 man based on form has been huge in recent weeks with scores of 151 and 145. There are no signs that he will slow down against the Brisbane Lions who gave Collingwood seven 100+ scores last week. Under the Etihad roof, Macrae has averaged 131 there from four games and will be massive again.

2. Tom Mitchell - Against his old team Sydney in 2017, Mitchell recorded his worst score for the year (83) and his third worst (109). Now with that said, our pig is coming off scores of 119 and 147 and therefore sits solid as a rock in my No.2 position this week.

3. Patrick Dangerfield - Collingwood is the easiest team for midfielders to score against, and they even allowed Zorko (176) and Beams (120) to play back into form last week. Danger scored 126 in his last game against them and although he is spending more time forward than we would like, he still found the ball 27 times for 109 against the Giants.

4. Max Gawn - Big Maxy scored 111 last week, his lowest score in his last five games. He drops on the order this week because no ruckman has score triple figures against Gold Coast's Jarrod Witts this year. That will most likely change this week.

5. Stefan Martin - With English being dropped, the Bulldogs will be running with just Tom Boyd this week. Expect Martin to carve this one up after averaging 110 against them last year.

Last 4 weeks vs the Saints
Melb: Brayshaw (113), Gawn (111), Hogan (110), Oliver (107), Jones (107), Hibberd (104)
Hawks: Titch (147), Smith (122), McEvoy (107), Morrison (106)
Giants: Delidio (136), Ward (114), Coniglio (112)
Cats: Parfitt (138), Menegola (118)

So its not usually an issue scoring a ton against the saints, Fyfe should go ok I reckon

Tempted to go Titch in response haha

Brought in MacRae this week. I have to put the c on him for that....If I had Stef, I'd go him. 50+ hit outs coming his way

Will Cogs bounce back after his awful game last week? I have a bad feeling about Titch tonight. If I had either Stef or Macrae I would C them without question. Is Cogs worthy of the C though?
He's sore I think, would avoid.
