Very tough decision this week with the Byes upon us. Picking the right captain is paramount. There are a few good options out there though. These are my top 5.

#1: Heath Shaw
Pros: Playing the Bombers who are the least effective team inside 50 so the GWS defenders will see a lot of the ball. Bombers giving up a lot of points.
Cons: Since his huge 170 score, has only hit a ton once with 2 other scores under 100. Might be risky.

#2: Tom Rockliff
Pros: He's Tom Rockliff. Last two weeks with 180 and 140. Playing back at home again. Safe Captain pick.
Cons: Well...He's Tom Rockliff. Always the risk of an injury. But looks to be going ok at the moment.

#3: Lachie Neale
Pros: Back at home and will want to bounce back after last week and should go back to his big scoring. Shouldn't get tagged this week.
Cons: Last weeks score makes it hard to put the C on him, below half his average score.

#4: Patrick Dangerfeild
Pros: Coming off his biggest score ever. Was everywhere with almost 50 touches. Always a safe bet as captain and almost guaranteed to hit 100+
Cons: Don't expect another score like last week. Even though he should give you a respectable score, Dogs wont let him run a muck like north did.

#5: Sam Mitchell
Pros: Has had a rest. Found some form last game after a few dull ones and broke 100 again. Tipping him to get a lot of easy touches and should put out a good 120+.
Cons: A little hard to trust after a patch of bad games.

Well There's my 2 cents. There are obviously a few other good ones out there. Hunter would have been in there if it wasn't for a poor score last week. Still a good option, but going from 160 to 80 odd made me leave him out against Geelong. Good chance you could pick anyone in an orange jumper this week and they would be a good captain. But with so many good players running through the GWS midfield, its hard to know who will be the big scorer week in and week out.

Calvin was good a few years back. But since they went mainstream its all suffered

They r all doing pretty shitty this year. None of the traders even in the top 2k and for so called professionals thats atrocious. I mean u do this job for a living.
Yep i go there for jeppas juniors and thats about it. Also the never ending trade questions people post annoys the shit out of me.

I agree. You have to give credit to them though, the questions some people ask are stupid as **** and I don't know how they deal with them.
For example someone asked Calvin:
Trade out Sidebottom or Gibbs?

WTF?

League not playing bye rounds. C means nothing this week.
Although it is nice to try and nail 1 300 a year. Did it once last year with Josh Kennedy (WCE)
I'll go Majak Daw this week.
In for Naitanui.

I enjoyed the one where someone asked why Stevo wasn't in Calvins list.

Good post mate, It's down to Rocky or Shaw for me. Shaw is with out a doubt a risky pick, averaging 95 over his last three but the fact he's got Essendon under the roof of Etihad makes him very enticing.

that's why i'm going with Heater... with rain on the cards for the Lions V Eagles match... anything could happen...
