Exceeding my download cap might explain it, although I had no problems with pictures loading in other threads.

Nah, Optus. Pretty good plan actually, 12 gigs from 12pm to 12am, and 24 gigs from 12am to 12pm. Speed is capped to I think half dial up once downloads exceed that (considering new Optus users are charged $150 dollars for every gig over the limit, I'll happily take the speed cap. )
