just wondering if any of you guys had any experience with car relocations advertised on web-sites such as:
http://www.relocations2go.com/
http://www.standbyrelocs.com/
http://www.transfercar.com.au/
i only discovered this whilst i was recently in new zealand that if you can get a car from point a to point b within a certain time frame (seems they give you about 300-400km a day), then you can rent the car for as little as $1 a day, though it's usually about $5 a day depending on the particular deal you've chosen.
it seems to good to be true. it's perfect for me as i'll be moving a shitload of stuff from melbourne to sydney at christmas time.
there is obviously the fine print on those sites, and others, but i'm just wondering of people with first/second hand experience.
typically you have to put up a bond which gets returned when the car arrives, how are they with the process of returning? what's the story with insurance? and any other details....
