Don't know about that. In a game with supposedly less pressure, and after 3 months training, I'd expect the guys skills to be a fair bit sharper than that. Carrazzo has always been sloppy though.

Well i'm focused on Round 1 - as i hope the entire CFC is. That's when it'll matter my friend. ;)

Sorry but his lack of intensity towards the "hard ball" annoys me.
Houlihan is the one that is much maligned.

Just don't think it harms us considering the role he plays. Why the **** does everyone want 22 Glenn Archers in the team? You're dead right about Hoops though, although you didn't say whether you thought his bad reviews were justified.

Skills are always down at this time of the year as players are rusty. It takes a while to get re-accustomed to match conditions. Any player who's missed a few games will experience that.

i don't want to call our best and fairest winner pathetic, but to me, it looked like he would rather have been somewhere else in that last quarter.

Yeah, he looked out of it for some reason. Perhaps the heat? In one passage he got the ball from the centre tap, and handballed it straight to a Port guy. There was no Blues player anywhere near him. lol. Was kinda funny. :)

skills were rusty indeed.
Having the advantage of actually going to the game gives good insight
into what is going on.
After a poor first few minutes i thought the blues showed great pressure
on the Power. Rookies or not the lads were going in pretty hard
and forcing a lot of errors on the Powers behalf. Some great second
efforts particularly from Eddie betts. He just kept diving in to get the pill.
I was sitting on the fence in the pocket and it was pretty fierce in the
kitchen for a 'practice' match.
Gibbs was a little at sea and he still seems to be a bit of a 'rabbit in
headlights'. Having watched him played for glenelg he's got the potential
to rip games to pieces. When he came out after the match to sign
gear etc he still seemed a bit bewildered. I think he's still struggling
with the idea of being an AFL rockstar.
Stevo looked fit as hell but hesitated here and there. Totally acceptable
considering the nature of his injury and the fact that it would
still be in the back of his mind.
As 4 carrots?!... just a tad over confident and a few dud games will
bring him back to earth. Murph was the same.
He had options galore in the pocket after a mark but just played on
casually and missed an easy one. perhaps a little bartlett'esque for mine.
You've got team mates for a reason.

for me caraazzo nearly cost us the game in the last qaurter ,his decision making and lack of pace was pathetic, he is only good when hes got no opponents within ten metres of him and he can feed off an easy handball and rack these pathetic stats which mean nothing to me, him and other turn over kings like scotland and houlihan are weak links in our team the sooner we piss off these hacks the better.. i thought hampson and phiffer were great last night......thats all ive got to say:)

Clangers for scotland- 1, houlihan - 0

I suggest you actually watch games before you make idiotic statements like that.

scotland and houlihan are the best in the club at hitting people on the chest.
Whoever suggested Scotland and Houla were turnover kings ain't watching the same matches i'm watching
:thumbsu:

We've had our disagreements over Houlihan recently BW, but he did play pretty well on Saturday afternoon. Clean disposal and made good decisions when disposing of the ball.

He might just surprise a few of us this year, including myself.
And he played most of the game in defense.;)

I hope we won't have too many more disagreements!:D

It has taken me 2 days to respond to this, as I was in shock.

Carazzo is an absolute gun and he would walk in to the middle of any other
AFL club (Geelong included).
He is a ball magnet who can find it in bucket load , most of which are contested and although he sometimes misses targets ,it only seems pronounced because of the volume of ball he gets.

Anyone who knocks him has absolutely NFI ,these types are football insomniacs who should read only and never ever post.
