G'day guys and girls,

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=UPQHcVYCjxrd7I1xHbqQLA_3d_3d

I'm a research student at RMIT doing a research project on basketball in Australia, and the attitudes toward it over the past 10 years.

It will take you 5-10 minutes, I'm not making any money out of this, and I don't get any of your details to onsell to telemarketers. Please, I urge you to give me a hand and let me know what your thoughts are on the state of basketball in this country.

Even better, forward this on to your friends. Especially if they don't follow basketball, I'd love to know why. If not, your female friends in Darwin and Canberra would also be appreciated!

Thanks!

LC!

Hahah, yeah, sorry guys, had to spread it out a bit.

As it stands, got massive amounts of data for Melb/Syd, an adequate amount from WA/SA/QLD to report on, and SFA from Tas and the territories, which presents a problem.

I know it's tough to get detailed answers from people (I took part in it cause it didn't take long at all). But maybe it should have included a question on how many game's people used to attend/watch compared to now. There was one on if I had attended a game in the last 12 months, which I had, but it didn't represent my decline in attendance.

Hard to compare the two though, given the changes in variables over the past 10 years.

We had 3 teams in Melbourne as opposed to two and in some stages one, FTA coverage, Foxtel wasn't as easily found in homes as it is now, etc.

As well, I've got data from the NBL covering crowd numbers over the past 10 anyway

Basketball Australia's financial document's (assests, liabilites, profit etc) are available online if you haven't already got them. PM if you need to know where.

Yep, already looked over them. Aside from an outstanding loan to the NBL, the NBL operate as a seperate entity.
