it probably seems as if I am picking on you, but to me you are often just ludicrously unrealistic - or maybe just not very bright.
How was I being evasive? Here's some facts for you:
I said in my initial post that the Carey deal was a gamble at long odds that didn't pay off - we took a risk that could've worked but it didn't... in that regard yes of course hindsight is 20/20.
However, I was referring to what was undeniable at the time of the Carey deal. We were trading huge bait for a 31yo player with a history of chronic shoulder and leg problems coming off a year out of the game. Is that not an irrefutable fact? Therefore my point was the Carey gamble focused too much on hope and best-case scenarios, rather than utilising the knowledge we were armed with to come to a more realistic solution on the deal. Explain how that is being "ludicrously unrealistic".
So with all this in mind, the question has to be asked, where does the need for your earlier sarcastic one-liner come from? I cannot recall an instance where you have once discussed football rationally as a first resort, and that's why I questioned your motive to post here - because you apparently have an aversion to discussing issues related to the Adelaide Football Club in a calm, fair and rational manner.
But having said all that, I must admit you are good value though. Not many people would have had the temerity to introduce the word "bright" into proceedings, especially considering they'd already conclusively proven their vocabulary is lacking and recently had that point rammed home to them - how ironic:
Crow-mosone missing a chromosome?
Anyway, by all means feel free to continue 'picking on' me... as the proverb goes -
