At least that's something consistent, for Melbourne fans could boo for Australia if was an Olympic sport.

What the **** is that meant to mean?

Agreed that line was poorly written. This is the first game I've heard us boo like that apart from the scully game. West Coast are the true champions of booing.

I didn't join in, but I think it was a good effort by those involved. The performance on field was not acceptable in the least.

I boo'd at three-quarter time. By the end of the game the players didn't deserve the effort.

Yeah, the three quarter time one was what I was referring to.

I left as soon as the siren went, it was too much to bear.

Carey is exactly right. Just listened to it. Someone who tweets here should share that with our players. They are a ****ing joke.

Carey's comments were spot on.

They were so bleeding obvious too. I wonder if Neeld or anyone else has the guts to be saying similar things within the club this week?

Equally spot on are Carey's comment regarding playing stupid games like who can grow the longest beard etc. The playing group are a bunch of unprofessional little boys and nothing more. People will say that the players are allowed to have some fun, the same people that claim the players should be able to go out to nightclubs during thier own time, but it is just a reflection of the lack of professionalism which is inherrent in this group and club and its losing culture.

Absolutely spot on. Less talk and more action from these boys, and this entire group, is what I'd like to see. Neeld sure can TALK a good game, but when it comes to taking all that talk and implementing it on the ground itself; it's completely non-existent. Where's the effort, where's the improvement? For far too long we have been asking ourselves the exact same questions, and even in victory we haven't come close to answering those questions. You'd think any victory we've had was a fluke, because by what we saw today, with an effort like that? These guy's won't (and shouldn't) win a game this year. UNLESS; they do something to fix it. Something has to change. And these players need to perform. At the moment, they don't want it. And for as long as they don't want it, they're not going to get it. Ever.

This guy doesn't hold back.

The Dee’s remind me of some shares I bought about 5 or 6 years ago for around 30c, which fell away and have been trading along between 2c-5c for years now. No prospect of ever going higher, but too low to even go any lower, they just limp along the bottom in a meaningless existence. Like the Dee’s supporters who will continue to support their club, I’m stuck with these shares and can’t sell them, and there are no buyers, just like no new person is ever going to pick this hopeless case to barrack for.

I would pay Carey to go down to melbourne and sort these guys out. He wasn't the captain of a team that made 7 prelims in a row for no reason. He would never let anyone play alongside him if they weren't giving 100% all the time

Drastic, confrontational actions can sometimes be very effective in shaking up a disfunctional or unhealthy mindset.

Perhaps Neeld should order the boys to come in to the club this arvo and have a ritualistic shaving of the beards of all the guys who want to clown around and can't back it up with solid on field performances.

Get JV to shave them with a straight-razor. Better yet, get Carey down there to do it!

Im in the same boat. Guys like him, Dermie etc. Pay him strictly as a consultant with no strings attached. These guys need someone from the outisde to come in and shake it up. No sugar coating, no BS.

It's very interesting the little insightful snippets of truth you get from newspaper quotes sometimes. These are Grimes' words as published in the HUN (online) today:

"It's not a fitness or skills thing, it's a mindset thing and we've got to try to get everyone on board."
Grimes said everyone at the club was frustrated.
...
"There's a lot of guys who need to have a good, hard look at themselves.

Very telling if you ask me. Indicates that there are still, even after the big clean out, a few among the group who just aren't in it. That just refuse to give everything they've got. And it seems like the captain knows who they are.

I have my own thoughts, but won't bother naming players as it's just my own speculation.

He wants it too, IIRC.

You'd better off pursuing the Duck and not Dermie as Derm's got an affiliation with GWS.

We all know about Duck's 7 prelims but do we know what sort of coaching methods he has?

The problem is when you have these players with a toxic mentality in a workplace they feed on the negativity and try and recruit people onto their side. You see it in all workplaces. They are the people that dont want to be there, but they are happy to keep taking the money off the employers.

My guess is it is Frawley, Jamar, Sylvia and Dunn.

More blood needs to be shed at this club if we are ever going to move up the ladder

Starting with the fact that we need a new midfield coach NOW
Neeld needs to call Brian Royal into his office first thing on Tuesday morning and tell him its all over.

There simply must be a better alternative than what we curently have.

Ring up Wayne Carey and get him in for a no holds barred reality chat with the playing group.
He just might upset some people and stir a few into action.

What we must not do ............Is Do Nothing

I don't think Jamar and Dunn necessarily fall in to this category. I saw Jamar looking for all the world like he was about to cry a couple of minutes after the siren yesterday. And Dunn, before today, seemed rejuvenated in the backline under Neeld.

Sylvia, well, we've spoken about him for years. But there were more than a handful of us who thought he might have clicked late last year too. Not to mention that various comments from Neeld in the media indicated that he was happy with Sylvia's attitude.

Frawley I think you are right. The others for mine are Col Garland and Jez Howe. These are the guys that seem to have stagnated the most since Neeld's arrival and the guys whose little body language clues make me think have some sort of attitude issue(s).

Sylvia was far from our worst yesterday
