Not surprising. Unfortunately the conviction rate for this sort of thing is very low.

No wonder victims are reluctant to come forward.

The Office of Public Prosecutions has now dropped the charges due to evidence limitations.

“We confirm that the case against Mr Ditterich will not proceed,” an OPP spokesperson said.

“Decisions about whether to discontinue a prosecution are never made lightly and after careful consideration of the evidence it was determined that there are not reasonable prospects of conviction.”

Unfortunately when the only evidence is hearsay and a diary it's going to be very hard to get a conviction so we will never know.
