There are 4 investigations currently underway, all of which are being overseen by the OPI.
How many should there be?

He's either in witness protection or corruption is strong in Victoria. Both plausible.
A story was leaked that Taxpayers are funding his daughter's private school payment. He obviously struck a deal in which he would reveal all and dob in some people. Either that, or the story was made up to help his witness protection program.
He then gets killed on the same day in a maximum security prison where guards should be present? He gets killed by someone getting a metal bar from an exercise bike and walking in the prison with it to kill Carl Williams? How would a guy get away with that in as much security as that? Someone turned a blind eye, which spells corruption.
It's one or the other. Corruption or Witness Protection. And it would be hard to fake a death that way so I lean towards major corruption.
I heard he is hiding out in Egypt with Tupac

Today's west said who it was, if I am sitting in WA does the suppression order still apply lol?

Why do people care so much about this, do you think that this is the only death in custody? The only reason it is getting so much publicity, is because of the stupid TV series, it's just another crim who got killed in jail.
Who cares, one scumbag kills another, what's the big deal? Well apart from TV ratings & selling newspapers that is.![]()
It's because of the death in custody which is such a big issue and the role of police and jail staff corruption.
There was a lot of talk about Carl becoming a police informant which would have provided clean cops with plenty of info regarding drug deals and other criminal activity but also would have exposed potentially huge police corruption. Thats why there is so much media and public attention to this story.
A lot of unanswered questions and very suss details.
I'm not saying that Carl's life is worth more than anyone else's but the information he had could have brought the Victorian police down to their knees. Don't think he and the other Melbourne underworld figures did their deeds by going around the police, corrupt officers of the law help them, there was and still is massive police corruption.
It's a huge story and things are going to get even bigger if these enquiries do their job properly. I don't believe for a second this was just one inmate killing Carl because he didn't like him or something like that.
I don't see how Victorian police officers can be responsible for aboriginal deaths in custody in the NT, QLD, WA etc.
I won't disagree with you on the issue with Aboriginal deaths in custody, the public turn a blind eye to that but the corruption on that wouldn't be even close to the scale that of the underworld drug trade and Victorian police corruption involved

Those same corrupt people could also be responsible for the aboriginal deaths in custody, yet no one gives a F about them, especially when most of those aboriginals don't have such a long criminal record like Williams.
Hahaha of course but I don't recall any Aboriginal deaths in custody in Victoria unlike the issues they've had in those 3 states in my previous post.
Every death in custody whether white or Aboriginal gets reported to the coroners office and there is an investigation. Obviously they're not highlighted because there aren't many deaths and there isn't anything suspicious.
Whether you like it or not, Carl Williams' death is going to a bigger issue.
I like the way mantis is just ignoring the fact that there was a Royal Commission into Aboriginal deaths in custody
hahah mantis catches the bus she doesntget to listen to the morning news like the rest of us
