Ah, yes...the Carling Cup...where the top teams put out their Sunday League sides and still win:

Man Utd 3 - 2 Leeds
Bolton 2 - 0 Gillingham
Bristol City 0 - 3 Southampton
Wolves 2 - 0 Burnley
QPR 0 - 3 Man City

...and other meaningless scores

Yeah, let's laugh at those teams that put their strongest possible combination on the field.

Actually, let's not. ;)

Could have got decent odds on Roque Jnr, Bellion, Djemba-Djemba and Forlan all scoring in the same game.

Smith is in trouble for throwing a bottle into the crowd and hitting a female Leeds supporter. The bottle had been thrown by another Leeds support reportedly aimed at a United player. Not a great advertisement for a club trying to attract the corporate dollars. Still, like Carragher, a year or so back I would imagine a three game rest will follow.

What humilation for Rovers - Emile Heskey scoring twice! Should have got his hat-trick too but missed a penalty. Harry came on a sub and scored - thanks again Leeds. :)

And Lucas Neill managed to get himself sent off against us again! Beginning to dislike that bloke.

In even more stunnning news, Tottenham and Everton won!

Bolton should be OK - Europe here we come. ;)
