Interest bearing liabilities intrigue me.

2012
$5.97 current
$0.78 non-current

Total = $6.75M

2013
$5.8 current
$1.71 non-current

Total = $7.48M

Seems our loans have increased and not been paid off ? (Pokies purchase?) is this true?

Yep - borrowed $1.878m to purchase pokie machines. Debt is repayable over 5 years. Balance owing is $1.768m

Reading the whole thing we also paid less to players this year compared to last. What is the total salary cap for 2014? Trying to figure out how much room we have ;)

I think it's somewhere in the vicinity of $9.63M for 2014 and a minimum of 95% has to be paid.

The salary cap for this year was 9.13 million, and I am yet to find anywhere that states the salary cap for 2014. Is it possible that it hasn't been determined yet? TPP went up this year for, 92.5% to 95, meaning the most space free a club can have is $456,500, not including any club with a COLA,.

The reason our payments went down was moving paymens on the veterans list and the significant pay cut Juddy took I believe.

2012 – $8.787 million per club (7 per cent increase)
2013 – $9.139 million per club (5 per cent increase)
2014 – $9.632 million per club (5.4 per cent increase)
2015 – $9.92 million per club (3 per cent increase)
2016 - $10.2 million per club (3 per cent increase)

Judd's pay cut is for 2014.

The Carlton Football Club today announced a net operating profit of $528,095 for the financial year ending October 31 2013.
Carlton increased its year-on-year revenue by 23.3% from $46 million to $57 million and Football Department expenditure increased from $20.3 million to $21 million. The net profit result follows a loss of $683,799 last year.
Significantly, Carlton has reduced its debt by $1,000,000. The Club has now repaid $2.45 million of debt in the past three years.

Carlton CEO Greg Swann says the repayments are in line with the Club’s strategic plan to be clear of historical debt by the end of 2017.
“We’re very pleased to have been able to turn around a loss and produce a significant overall net profit in 2013, while staying on track to repay the Club’s historical debt,” Swann said.
“Membership reached record levels this year, while television ratings and match attendances were also improved.
“It shows that Carlton is in a healthy position both on and off the field and delivers the club a strong platform to celebrate the 150th anniversary in 2014.”
“We will work to engage and put our members at the centre of the celebration.”

Imagine 87yearBlue posting on BF.

Would quit posting and complain about Jack Worrall leaving to coach Essendon.

Gee Hendo speaks well.

He will be in the running for captaincy after Murph.

Thats a great call.
Has the makings to become a very very good player at this football club.

I wanted to say "he will be captain after Murph" but I was worried he may be too old once Murph hands it over :P

A statue od Sticks...great idea,,push the little navy button and it sings stand by your man...

They should put these out like VB did with the Boonies. Who wouldn't buy one?
