Well, after 1/3rd of the season gone and the bye week, good to see how we're tracking.

For my part,

Good calls: Adcock, Watson, Martin, Knights, Goldstein, Hocking
Bad calls: Thomas, Roberton, Gilbee, Mackay
Missed him by that much: Fyfe goes pick 205, selected Brown just before him and Salopek just before that :o

R: Dean Brogan, Michael Rischitelli, Jack Ziebell

IC: Ed Curnow, Luke Shuey, Harley Bennell, Shaun Atley

These are what I consider my good calls.

Bad calls would be Lake, Hendo, Anthony, Atley.

Others have been okay.

Windowlick, Bradshaw, Suban(???) injured too

B: Malceski - Taylor - Pears
HB: Newman - Hurley - Gilbert
C: Kennedy - Rodan - Cunninton
FOLL: Ottens - Morabito - Hartlett
HF: McGlynn - J.Riewoldt - Sloane
F: Petterd - Roughead - Stokes

I/C: Moloney - Barlow - Melksham - Gaff

I picked my side different to others. Didn't pick for how they'd go in 2011. Just really picked who I liked and saw fit for each position. Obviously there some injured players; quite a few actually. Morabito out for the year. Barlow yet to play. Malceski has done his knee but will be back soon. Pears is yet to play as well pretty sure. Rodan has done his knee again but only for a few weeks.

If I picked my side for 2011 then I'd say I am happy with Moloney, Taylor, Hartlett, Hartlett, Ottens, McGlynn, Hurley, Newman and maybe Roughead.

Riewoldt has been down on form. Stokes has yet to get out of first gear. Gaff has been decent but for some reason can't get a gig. Probably better if I rate my team at the end of the year when some players have actually got on the paddock. :o

edit: Just realised that I have Jack Riewoldt rather then Nick. Happy with Jack so far...

B: Jeremy Laidler, James Frawley, Steven Baker
HB: Aaron Davey, Nathan Bock, Grant Birchall
C: Sharrod Wellingham, Joel Selwood, Jared Brennan
Foll: Shane Mumford, Shaun Burgoyne, Rhys Palmer
HF: Nathan Fyfe, Taylor Walker, Mitch Duncan
F: Adam Schneider, Charlie Dixon, Brett Ebert
I/C: Daniel Wells, Liam Shiels, Liam Anthony, Dyson Heppell

Not real happy with how my team is going this season. Frawley has had a restricted pre-season, but is starting to get back to his AA form. Brennan has had a couple of a good games, Walker has been hot and cold and Burgoyne has been alright after starting to season really well. Ebert, Palmer, Baker, Anthony and Shiels have all been pretty dissapointing. That being said the bolded players in Laidler, Fyfe, Duncan, Dixon and especially Heppell have shown heaps. Mumford and Selwood have both had good years too.

B: Hunt Carlile Gibson
HB: Johnson Grima Kennelly
C: Foley Goddard Lewis
HF: Giansiracusa Petrie Houlihan
F: Dennis-Lane Podsiadly Hitchcock
R: Hille Cooney Corey
I/C: Jones, Rosa, Westhoff Lonergan

Not too bad so far.

Injuries aside most of my team has performed pretty well. My first 2 selections in Goddard and Cooney have been sub-par but the middle tier has been up and about a bit

The completion of my team (pretty confident he hasn't been picked up yet)

Big, athletic, versitile, the perfect substitute.
Nathan Lovett-Murray

J. Bennell Morris Silvagni
Enright C.Tarrant C.Brown
Sherman Swan Harbrow
A. Krakeour Mooney A.Walker
L.Jetta Jurrah L.Davis
Hudson N.Van Berlo D.Swallow
Pearce Grigg Toovey Sub: Lovett Murray.

Bold = done well
Italic = done ok.

most of my team are a bunch of half-hearted, underperforming, flashy, lazy footballers :o.
Good use of time this was:p

Ugh...

Bolded have done well
Normal I'm contempt with/haven't failed too hard
Italic have been plain disappointing (whether to injury or form)

Coach Mr Claypigeon

The ones I am happy with in bold and the ones I am not so happy with underlined. ..

Injuries: Jolly, Byrnes, Ottens . ..

Hell of a backline you have got there Clay :p.

Yeah, Blake like most of the Saints have been down on form. .. Maguire was good before his injury last year but hasn't come back well this year. .. Ottens off injury was always a risk and got injured again. .. Not too unhappy with my HB line. ..

My superior midfield rotation would trouble a lot of sides though ;)

Edit: Plus either Waite or Pavlich could swing back if required. ..

Further Edit: My backline would have changed to a good developmental line:

Watson :: Blake :: Wallis
Carrazzo :: Pederson :: Selwood

Who plays on the power forward?

Who plays on the power forward?

Yeah would struggle. .. but then there is few real power forwards playing at the moment. .. Again my midfielders would have to get back and zone up and help. .. Plus Pavlich/Waite could rotate back if required and my medium/small mobile forwards would worry a tallish defence like yours ;)

B: Darren Milburn Michael Jamison Scott Stevens
HB: Xavier Ellis Cale Hooker Martin Mattner
C: Luke Power Lenny Hayes Kade Simpson
HF: Daniel Rich Jack Watts Paul Chapman
F: Stephen Milne Mitch Clark Hayden Ballantyne
FOLL: Matthew Kreuzer David Mundy Brent Harvey
INT: Shaun Hampson Mark McVeigh Daniel Harris Rick Ladson

Bit of a write off with Hayes injured for the year. Milburn, Hooker, Jamison, Simpson, Rich, Chapman, Ballantyne, Milne, Mundy, Harvey all going pretty well.

I don't want to toot my own horn too loud but I thought that my team had a really good balance. Maybe a touch on the tall side, but there is a lot of flexibility there, especially considering Petrie/Hille/Westhoff as ruck forwards.

B: Hayden - Glass - Stratton
HB: Gram - Mcpharlin - Deledio
C: D.Jackson - Bartel - Pendlebury
HF: Rockliff - Hansen - Grant
F: Jetta - Tippett - D.Motlop
RUCK: Naitanui - Sc.Thompson - Vince
INT: Mclean - A.Mcgrath - Cam Richardson - Mitch Brown

Mixed bag for me.

Glass and Mcpharlin both in line for AA spots, Deledio been excellent and Gram solid.

Hayden yet to play through injury and Stratton out for the season after a promising start. :(

Bartel and Pendlebury obviously starring as you'd expect. Jackson has been good for the Tigers, bar the suspension.

Rockliff would be close to the bargain of the draft. Having an excellent season for Brisbane. Hansen has been relatively disappointing but is averaging over a goal a game. Grant been decent but not great.

Jetta very poor thus far. Tippett's been good since he's been back from injury. Motlop was a huge risk but he's actually having a good season. Pleased given I got him for effectively nothing.

Ash Mcrgrath showing form up forward, kicking 6 and 2 goals in the last fortnight. Solid selection. Cameron Richardson is rubbish and a horrible pick.

Naitanui having a good season in the ruck and had an excellent game last week. Perhaps not a first ruck yet but he'd manage with help from Tippet. Scott Thompson is probably Adelaide's best player and a bargain at pick 112. Vince unfortunately been very disappointing.

The other two haven't played and I definitely seem to have overpaid for Mclean, but we'll see how he goes given he's almost certain to play this week. Mitch Brown has played the last 4 VFL games, for a return of 7, 5, 2 and 0 goals. Going backwards but he looks a very likely type. Might have gone a season early.

All up relatively pleased, reckon it'd be one of the best teams thus far. Perhaps 6 players in AA contention.

B: Hunt Carlile Gibson
HB: Johnson Grima Kennelly
C: Foley Goddard Lewis
HF: Giansiracusa Petrie Houlihan
F: Dennis-Lane Podsiadly Hitchcock
R: Hille Cooney Corey
I/C: Jones, Rosa, Westhoff Lonergan

Team has picked up in terms of performance now, especially my forwards with Gia playing out of his skin, Petrie saving North's hide and Pods stepping up. Lewis leads the comp in score assists so thats another dimension to my team

Midfield wise the top tier continues to disappoint with Goddard and Cooney on and off in terms of form and Hille seeming to struggle with injury, but the depth looks good with Rosa and Foley really playing well.

The only standout in defense is Gibson, but I am happy with Grima's performance. Carlile was a poor choice in hindsight though as was Hunt
