Pleasant morning at training.
A lot was happening at MC Labour Park. They were replacing the signs around the ground to give the new sponsors full exposure for the family day on Sunday. Meetings happening in the social club rooms, a real buzz around the place. A few media presence. Kelli Underwood from Channel 10 was there so there might be a report on their sports tonight (can't guarantee but).
Training started around 9 and yes Judd was in attendance with the main group and completed all the drills.
Benji did not participate in the main group, he was out for 10 minutes and then went in. I didn't see Bentick or Simmo today.... Sugar did sprints.
The first drill was Ratts kicked the ball high to a competing players (Hammo vs Cloke; TBird vs Fev; Sentata vs Harts). Then there were 3 players crumbing around the contest and taking the ball back to ratts and had to go around Braddles.
Then they had a kicking and handpassing drills which involved every player and took up the whole ground. There were a few missed passes (just short) but the receiving guys did well to trap the ball.
Ratts would then bring the guys in and have a chat and then go back to the same drill.
There was one part where the guys who got the ball had to shoot on the run. I noticed that when it was Juddy's turn he settled took a bounce and shot truly. Some of the guys need to take note and just settle when shooting.
I noticed after Ratts brought them in again for a chat that he yelled out "if you are to far to pass it, take a bounce and then kick it". Well straight away one of the players kicked it short and Ratts stopped the session and reinforced his instructions. Lets just say they listened.
Okay Juddy, participated in all the drills, kicked with both feet, jumped to take marks, sprinted, jogged. He is human, did kick a few short and you could hear his frustration by the yell. But as he got into the session the better I thought he looked. He left the field at around 10.05 and had a smile on his face. The rest of the guys started their warm down around 10.15 and went in around 10.30.
Pfiefer and Armfield really impressed me, their passing and dash will be a great asset to the team.
Hammo again impressed at training.
Joey will be one to watch, he is taller than I thought and moves well.
Murph had these real bright orange boots.
Shields has also improved since last time I saw him in December. He, Asake and Santy stayed out after the others went in for a kick to kick session. There were 3 Irish girls waiting for them to go in so they could get their autograph. One of them had a Kerry (I think) jumper on......
A good session, lots of voice especially from Scotland and encouragement for the boys. They are really enjoying each others company.
If you have questions ask, shoot away.

Anyone knows if the boys will be completing a training session before the family day on Sunday?I highly doubt it mate. 3 sessions in 4 days? Just after coming back from South Africa?

Carlton coach Brett Ratten has dismissed fears that boom recruit Chris Judd will not be ready to make his Blues' debut in the opening round of the AFL season.

Who is this guy?

Kicking with both feet by the report above........that says to me that whatever soreness her had after last Friday they aren't too worried, otherwise they would have restricted his kicking. For the people that were there today, what was Judds lateral movement like?

Where did you get this photo from AWG?

If of course, you still believe that Judd is actually alive........the fact they haven't denied his death speaks volumes.......where there is smoke......![]()
