Joseph's speed didn't exactly help him against L.Thomas last year.Thanks, it will be interesting how ROK and Davies go during the year. One thing, though, about the Joseph comparison, if pitted against players such as Ablett, does Davies have that burst of speed that Joseph has? Endurance is one thing, but I would think, agility and off-the-mark speed is a necessity for those kind of match ups.
Or Shaw who was too good in the air for him.
If Davies knows how to position himself and play the angles like Carrazzo who shut down Davey, then he could play that role on a quicker player. Davies is a good tackler after he closed down some juniors, Isaac Smith (@ 2.25), and Dustin Martin. Smith spun out of Chris Johnson's tackle in close, but couldn't get out of Davies' text book tackle. Looks like he could be a team player after some of his run down tackles in his highlights. I'll be content if Davies ends up half as good as Hanna who was a hard running wingman who could take a mark. Hanna wasn't a great kick, but still forged a good career for himself.
