I think Carlton showed a lot of spirit in those last few games but were just not quite good enough to win. I think Judd would have liked what he saw that in the team from their performance in those games and would have been influenced by them when he chose Carlton as his preferred destination.
Libba obviuosly showed his insight into the game in that interview and it is good to see Kouta coming out and vehemently deniying such garbage accusations.

Tanking if proven would be the biggest story EVER. The media know this so even the slightest whiff and they are all over it.
Libba's comments Thursday night had no substance to them other than the ridiculous "Thornton didn't need the operation" and the obvious "Ratts ignored my suggestions (well, he was sacked at the end of the year, so maybe his suugestions were crap.......just a thought
).Everything else about playing kids......well the ins and outs cover that pretty well.....and the Johnstone thing - Ratts spoke to that at the press conference.
The media however, rather than examine the substance of his claims, and rather than put it in the light of an ex-employee whose AFL coaching career is pretty much finished.......and who has lashed out at the two clubs who he was associated with.............starts to look a bit silly doesn't it.
To their credit, SEN, and in particular Mark Doran took this view exactly.
Everyone else just wants to be in on the "scoop of the century" that they failed to evaluate the comments..........
I reckon this is all rubbish. How many of you supporters believed they tanked. I would reckon at least half of you. There is very little honesty in footy. It doesn't matter what Kouta or any of the press or Libba say. It is what you as individuals believe. There were so many posts on this board saying it was in the best interests of the club to tank. So obviously many of you guys either feel we did or feel like the club did the wrong thing if we didn't. Why all the controversy now???

To be honest i think Carlton did tank but however there is no evidence to back it up, So therefore the AFL cannot punish Carlton.
