Why not worthy?

Everitt, Taylor, Campbell are it atm. I don't rate/view Dawson as a ruckman. Take a kid maybe in the draft for long term development and McLaren as insurance.

Brissie had half a dozen of the buggers, Crows at the same (Hudson, Biglands, Clarke, Meeson and Maric as development).

I reckon four is probably the right number but maybe five if you are looking to develop one for the future if you see there's going to be a vacancy a few seasons down the track or if one you have ear-marked (i.e Robbie) might not make it anyway.

The options seem pretty good to me. Pass on pick 70 in national draft and pick up either Selwood or McLaren in PSD.

Personally I believe we need at least 4 geniune ruckman. Im sure BHH wouldnt say no to having 1 or 2 running around for them as well.

Agree with Grendal that Dawson' s training is all backline related, not ruck, which, given his slight body is probably a good idea.

psd could be v interesting, especially if selwood, Mclaren, and gasper are available. Brissy wouldn't let 2 go would they?

anyway, Gasper would be a good pick-up if (and I mean big if) he can stay fit.
he is big unit with a bit of presence. Could solve out full-back problem?
Joel Smith could be a smokey for that posi though! plays a bit taller than some people think. did a very good job on Treadrea and Tarrant the couple of times he's been used as a key tall & he could be quite creative running off

anyway, just my 2 bobs worth

Played a lot of his junior years around Sale as KP backman but since being drafted has only really been seen as a backup ruckman .At 195cm could be a replacement in terms of height down back that we have lost with the departure of Hay .Not only that ,have known him since his days as a 11yr old operating the scoreboard @ Sale FC home games & i can safely say he has never needed a psychiatrist either. That's right ,he doesn't get depressed or pig- out on sleeping pills.(Excuse me for digressing from the topic but i have just read Jacqui's post in support of JH)
