However my hatred for Carlton and the extreme satisfaction I continue to draw from the Blues hardship is not dependent on how the pies are going . I would feel this way no matter where we were on the ladder. The greatest part of your story so far is there doesn't seem any light at the end of the tunnel yet. I pray that your suffering is eternal because football is my religion.

As much as I'm a Carlton anti fan this is not good. In a supposedly professional comp this shows what happens when the AFL imposed too big a burden on them after salary capgate. Sure, they were so dense they could bend light, but with the benefit of hindsight the penalty has hamstrung them for a decade and maybe more. They need to be sorted and fast. Will Pratt be the answer? Whilst he brings cash that isn't really the problem, the place just doesn't seem professional. Squabbling between coaches, crap decision on who was Captain, it needs an injection of outsiders who don't have fear or favour with the playing, admin or coaching staff, I would be very suprised if that were happening the way it should at Bluesville. There but for the grace of Eddie goes Collingwood. Hang in there Blues supporters, as much as some of you have made your own sheizen sanger, you shouldn't all have to eat it.

The penalty's are only a small part of the problem,a more major part is our drafting or lack of it in the 1997 - 2000 drafts.

Amen to that. I'm 37 years old, not 15 like many on BF, and remember 1979 and 1981 very well.

Exactly Does the Princess Park clash in 1999 bring back memories when they fixed us up by 120 points.....I've never forgotten that day, and it'll be a while till the Blues boys are back, until then sit back and make the most of it......
