I can keep putting forward the same things but it's somewhat boring already and can only become ever so much more boring, going forward.

Weitering at his best could become a wonderful player, be it back or forward, but Riewoldt didn't become a wonderful player on talent alone and it was his work-rate and work ethic that took him to a new level. Nothing earth shattering there. Cripps has a self imposed standard and what a standard that is.

Weitering doesn't have to push himself nearly as hard, but he does need to step up the rating and stop looking for sympathy. Enough said?

I agree with most of what you say, however I believe he’s absolutely a key defender - one of the best prospects we’ve seen in the last decade. The man is hand-crafted to play as a modern rebounding CHB and be a perennial All-Australian, he just needs to harden up. Easier said than done.

I don't listen to the so called sports media anymore, same dog, different leg. One week they come out and say it will take time, the next week their bagging us because the rebuild isn't happening fast enough. Bolton has done 2 1/2 years and should be sacked according to them, but not many coaches get their list working the way they want within 5 years.

I listen to podcasts now travelling to and from work or music, it just keeps my Blood pressure in line better

My only response to this is SOS had to grab some players to help out this year. At the end of the year if for example we replace

O'Shea Mullett Shaw Graham Thomas for Pick 1, 2 x second rounders, A FA, a trade and some picks it looks so much better

I still think it's 8-10 changes this year with 2-3 ready to go top level players and more young picks.

Personally I hope that with this great draft and some good FA/Trades SOS clears out O'Shea Mullett Graham Thomas Kerridge Lobbe Lamb G-Mac Shaw and brings in better talent. It's tough but we really need to get past just okay/or older past their best players

Just read an article from SEN, obviously summarising a conversation had on air this morning.

The article states Marc Murphy is a UFA, but Tim Watson says the Blues should see what other clubs offer up for trade and possibly move him on.

It baffles me that these men get paid to talk about football.

Tim, from a novice football follower id like to inform you, clubs don’t trade for UFA”s, they are free.

The greatest illusion the likes of Robinson, Whately, Connelly et al have created is that they know more about the way the game is played, what needs tinkering, how to fix it etc than the average supporter. It is simply untrue, a smoke screen. Thankfully not all supporters believe it, but enough to give them unnecessary cred are still out there.

Fair dinkum, that's a wonderful thing to hear.

Who was it that was attacking Jarrod's choice of footwear early in the season? Those boots looked fantastic, and clearly meant a lot to him; for him to do that demonstrates his generosity, and his lack of arrogance.

It's this kind of thing that sticks with you, through all of your life.
