Thats how i see it too - she (and FC) got owned earlier in the week by SOS.

This article reeks of desperation to save face - wouldnt even require a response of any sort from the club. I would expect anyone in the football community would see it for what it is all about.

She's been made to look a complete fool and the more she tries to justify her behaviour - the more stupid/ridiculous she looks.

The best Carlton can do now is completely ignore her - and deal with other people in the media who don't have the massive ego/attitude she does.

I mean, SOS took 12 months to stew on having a go at Caro over the Trigg article. I hold grudges, and I'd certainly hold onto a grudge that long.

Perhaps she fancied Trigg somewhat.

Her obsession with his dismissal is becoming concerning

She is upset that her Carlton 'source' is gone.

Trigg was her 'source' for all Carlton related stuff. He gave her decent scoops and she used them and at the same time was very lenient on us (just look at the evidence in her writing while Trigg was at the club).

Soon as she found out that Trigg was gone she was furious as one of her few remaining reliable sources for scoops was gone. Not only that, but the club went hard into the Herald Sun camp and all scoops are given to the Herald Sun rather than the Age now.

Hey guys, posted a new thread earlier regarding a second Carlton centric podcast put together by some mates and I.

It was since shunted to the backwater Siberia that is a page so deep within the forum, so far away from it's intended audience - you, passionate Carlton fans - so to render it inaccessible. If the main Carlton page is Broadway it's currently sitting somewhere in Wyoming.

I was told I could place links in my signature (I can't, won't accept even one character), but am obviously keen to share what we've come up with!

It's in two parts and modelled on a look back, taking stock and looking forward.

Part One - a look at two eras: 2009-2014 and 2015-now, taking in matters on and off field.
Part Two - a look forward, presenting our list ladder and one of the most thorough and thought provoking draft scenarios you'll see at any stage between now and the trade/draft period.

If the mods wouldn't mind, I'd really appreciate the opportunity to get this content to as many ears as we can. We love this Club and, I believe, have put together an engaging listen.

I listened to part one and really enjoyed it, some very interesting info on our recruitment / list management over the last decade or so. Worth a listen imo

Way different era now though. Club would not play him if there was the slightest of issues especially with the way we are going presently.

Back in those days the only unwritten medical rule was if you were concussed then you miss a week and that's after generally playing out the game. Post match involved getting on the piss and blowing out the pipes which cant/didnt help recovery.

Back in that era don't forget there was no testing of players for recreational type things and stories were created for a variety of reasons.

I was talking about the on field craziness. What Dominator was doing on field in 84 to use his body as a weapon, Crippa is doing now. It can only be done for so long before cost on body to take it's toll. Players still play sore, ask Bob Murphy how many Dogs players of 2016 team play when probably should not. We only have to look at our own club with Kruezer, Kennedy, Marchbank and others this year to know things on this front still not that different. If you not concussed everything else seems open to getting back on field again. Cripps himself played with broken bones last year. So different era but same risky s**t to body to play like a battering ram. He needs to have feel like he is not the only one to take on such a load. Sooner we get help for him, the better for him and our club.

I agree. The club should ignore her and the Age.

Having slept on this I'm now coming to the realisation that Caro's behaviour is akin to a typical bully.

I.e. Pick a fight with someone who they believe to be weak and vulnerable.

Start aggressively to intimidate the "victim" and then taunt/ridicule/humiliate them.

Everything she did on Monday fits this pattern.

But like most bullies - when the "victim" retaliates with strength- they s**t themselves and spend the next period of time trying to prove to all the spectators they have not lost their "power/strength".

I think pseudo expert is too strong a phrase, even in this context. Literally anyone can pay for a website and write bullcrap.
