Lets give Dow a chance. He looks fit and strong and has spent enough time in the system now, to be able to have an impact.
If he fails this year , then the discussion has to start in earnest

He has to break into the 22 first ... and atm (last years form) I just don't see it. Played 3 games last year. That being said Paddy is only 21 years old and am not ready to write him off. He is contracted to 2022 I think? He will have the next 2 seasons to kick it into gear.

Or.... Crippa is the consummate team player and is just waiting until we finalise Zach Merrett's contract for 2022 before signing his own well compensated long term contract... :moustache:

So he’s signing on the last second of the last minute of trade period, after the Dodo makes us pay a Kings ransom?
:)

Aye, release him to another club. Might get a 3rd rounder for him.
2018 - Quite a good season
2019 - 2nd year blues
2020 - Injured for large part of the year. 12v12 scratch matches no good for development.

We need to give him a chance. '21 is a big year for all our draftees of the last 3 or so years.

Bryce G is still one of us folks. 💙💙💙

Oscar McDonald in the photo, has he made the cut?

McDonald would be a solid pick up from a depth perspective. Had a cracker of a season a few a go. Can play, more of a between the ears issue I think but 100kg nearly 200cm 100 odd game defenders are handy back up in most books. We can all put our doom scrolling caps on and pick the eyes out of every mistep ever taken (hot past time on here this time of year!) but has a better cv to date than some on the list in terms of proven numbers. Be interesting to see what he produces if he gets a spot.

What’s mahers story?
2020 was a huge outlier.....we're all familiar that there was little exposure with the Vic boys last year because of covid restrictions, so there was no doubt a lot of talent left on the table at the end of the draft.

Most phantom drafts had Maher between picks 20 to 30, so he obviously has plenty of talent, but not enough exposed to see him picked on draft night ahead of others.

So the issue would be if we have a spare spot on our list, do we take the opportunity of taking a kid now basically for free who was a draft slider, or wait until he has more exposed form during the 1st half of 2021 leading to the mid season draft, with the risk of a North or Freo or Cows or * selecting him before us.

If his training lines up, I say take the potential.
Bombers supporter is a worry however.
