Yeah, I noticed this too. Barrett's "sliding doors" pieces are meant to be tongue in cheek and not taken too seriously, which is why he can get away with blatantly trolling us like that. Hey, it was just a joke, right?
He's welcome to take the piss out of the private jet to Noosa affair - plenty of others have. But why he felt he needed to include the "paper bag" reference (twice, in case we missed it the first time) I don't know. Another flog journo happy to keep promoting the "only Carlton cheats" myth.
Does he ever make any snide references to *FC's fondness for pointy things and dodgy supplements? If he has, I've never seen it. A rich vein of material going begging there, Damo!
