He's telling people they shouldn't boo Gary Ablett. A few weeks later he's saying what a waste of time it is to try to moderate the crowd's behaviour.

The only difference, as far as I can see, is that maybe Gary Ablett will be putting out a book and need a ghost writer, or perhaps he'll be good for an article in a month or two. The umpires? What point is there to keep them onside? No one gives a stuff about them.

But Gary Ablett is white, so unless all the booers are Indigenous, then it isn't a race issue.

Adam Goodes is beside the point. I thought what happened to him was a disgrace and was proud that the Geelong supporters by-and-large refrained from booing him when he returned to playing at Kardinia Park.
