Here's mine in order of preference (eg. for pick 4 if Ellis is gone we pick Hurn and if Hurn is gone we pick Ryder), and in later stages assuming most of the early players are gone.

Me too. Fills needs we have in the midfield, key defensive posts and a ruckman. Wouldnt mind James Wall from the Calder Cannons, 198cm and plays any key position and ruck, is very mobile and agile, and is also vice-captain of the Cannons. Was named in the back pocket in the TAC Cup Team of the Year.

With regards to pick 68, at the moment it will more than likely be a "pass" unless there are further delistings.

For pick 4 i think carlton are going to have to get a full back .. or a good tall player like Patrick Ryder to help out the defence if Patrick Ryder is taken then Hurn. The reason for picking a Full back instead of a Midfielder because in the PSD carlton should be able to pick up Selwood

That would be almost the worst possible thing to happen to the club since we took wiggins and sporn in the first rd of the same draft. Birchall is not a top 10 prospect in anyone's eyes and grima has got his name noticed by kicking a bag on some defender standing 10cm smaller than him.. plz dont even suggest thatPafloyul said:

Yes well, you will notice that every so often there are players that come out of nowhere that go on to be much better players than the some of the ones with all of the hype. I just want Carlton to be able to identify those types of players before they get picked up by other clubs. I don't honestly know if I have Identified the right players or not but both have significant upsides that many of the others don't have and I doubt they will slip to 36.
Just you watch, no draft pans out like clockwork and this year’s crop is even less predictable. There will be more than one cry in the future of "why didn't we pick this guy up", I can tell you now.

Good point mate. We need players across the board but as you said we really need qulity midfielders and quality tall defenders. I think Murphy and Hurn are standout mids, I would love two of Bower, Spangher and Lucy but not likely so will settle for one of them and say a Wayde Mills who is tall and agile at 195cm and is a consistent and disciplined defender.
Hopefully ,now that Selwood is staying put, we get McLarne to bolster the ruck stocks.

Without knowing the individual contractual situations, I'd say Wiggins, Prendergast, Longmuir, Chambers and Bannister are all possible candidates for the chop. Say we delist two of that lot, that means pick 68 and 80 would still be available, and I'm sure we'd at least use 68...pick 80 depends on if there's anyone we fancy at that stage, but IMO we should use it as every year there are players who get rookied and turn into quality players...just look at Ben Rutten and Nathan Bock for Adelaide!
We won't delist Camporeale until just before the PSD, so when he goes, there's our extra spot for McLaren or whoever, and if we haven't used pick 80, we'll have another pick...hopefully we'll find someone as good as Eddie Betts again...

Anyone agree with this? I think if we take McLaren in the PSD we don't need to use a pick on a ruckman in the Nat Draft. Better off using it on either another midfielder or KPP. They are the only players we should be drafting this year - genuine KPP and midfielders.
