Which is Bay 13 in reverse, except you find immunity in large numbers of Carlton haters slinging shit at the club and hide behind your back slapping.

I would heartily invite some of these self styled intelekshul types to come over here and try their luck. You can have reasoned debate here. There are people that are willing to engage in such. Alas that will never happen because they have no protection over here and simply cannot stand up for themselves when the heat is on.

It has nothing to do with can't stand the heat, because I'm more than happy to stand up to anyone of you. Most of you still can't tie your shoe laces FFS! Therefore the Bay is certainly no place to come for reasoned debate and the Carlton board is not the place for opposition supporters to come and sling shit at the club... simple really.

In your case, this is true. I'm sorry you feel tarred by the same brush as the great majority of your bretheren in here but I certainly wasn't including you in the flogette brigade. You and Bazza are probably the only decent carlton posters in here besides Thrawn who doesn't really post that much anyway. Its a shame there aren't more of you in here as it might actually change things.

If you're smart enough to use logic and reasoned debate, dealing with juvenile taunts should be a snap and I've seen you do both regularly.

Couldn't agree more. Its just a little sad that it seems to be (in this case) a safe haven to sling shit at everyone else because some are too scared or feeble to do it in here.

If some injuns manage to make it through the gates, they're shot on sight and that's just added entertainment. It'd be more entertaining if the injuns weren't made to leave their weapons at the gate though..

Exactly. Although not with complete impunity. I had to chuckle at how many times the thread had to be cleaned up and the boundaries for carlton posters reiterated in the first page or two of posts. Obviously some real pent up angst there...

Yes. Even if it looks like they might be starting to get the upper hand in a reasoned debate. I noticed that when this started to happen, the subtle arrogance and baiting was upped a notch presumably in order to (hopefully) illicit a reactive return of the arrogance and baiting.

At this point the warnings can start and the poor poster finds themselves in a no win situation, even though they may have a very good point.

Carlton do draw a lot of attention in here and while a lot of the jibes directed at them may not necessarily be true, they don't break forum rules. If they do I will act accordingly.

Bear in mind also that we can't cover every post so some may go through undetected - so if you read something that you think breaks the rules don't be ashamed to report it

Valid points and on occasion you'll find the odd Blues poster criticise the boards overly defensive response to intruders. However you seem to have missed my point, which is that in Bay 13, immunity manifests as weight numbers, not moderator response. In here it's pretty much a 15 to 1 fight... which I suppose you may call neutral... if you're a weak prick.

TBH in real life the worst I've had was a 12-18 to 3 fight, with the weak pricks running in and out of the brawl as they pleased with spiked brass knuckles. I suppose they though it was neutral too as there was no police intervention. While we spilled plenty of their blood, we lost more of our own and were very lucky to walk away from it with nothing more than scars. Several weeks later though, as the rumour went, two young Danes weren't so lucky and the entire bar street was forever closed as a result.

Fret not. I remain untouched by your tarring brush and thanks for the kind words. I've been into bat for the decent Bay 13 posters on the Blues board before and as I recall you were named among those worthy of defending. However, there are a few dead set dropkicks posting on this board who couldn't think their way out of room with one door.

It's just a follow the rules of the board thing. Same as the Bay. Read the sticky before posting... it's a pretty blatant warning sign that Blues supporters have the right of way.

For mine I don't often post there, but I am a regular visitor and utterly dislike the ultra-defensive poster responses and goading (although they do have some absolute ripper posters on that board)... but I am glad for the haven created by the heavy handed moderating. If I want to play with the trolls I come in here, if I want some serious information or discussion, I go there.

Did you fail to notice the word was in italics. That's my way of trying to indicate that I don't subscribe to the defensive responses of my fellow supporters. In fact usually I just close such threads and move along, because I only go there for the serious information or chatter about my club.

TBH I would appreciate a bit more serious contribution to the board from opposition supporters, but there is just so much shit slinging all over BF these days about the Blues that I guess they've gone the members only night fella's route.

My point was why be scared of stepping up to those still unable to tie their shoelaces. Nothing tearful or hurtful, perhaps you misread it, or I wasn't clear enough.

If you find a post objectionable I am sure the mods would be happy to sort things out
I have only a vague idea of Hodgepodge's thread. It was not me who reported it!
Perhaps if he is half a man he could pm the details and I can judge for myself what the mods deemed unacceptable
