Funny, I wasn't the one who brought it up, but I do like the way you look to your fellow posters for reassurance. I can just see the 'high fives' & you telling each other "you're the man".

As for those seeking to achieve "ownage", it says a lot about how insecure they are. I can just imagine you telling your mates "I owned this guy real good on the internet." Give yourself a pat on the back.

Actually, you are the one who brought it up.

Interesting that you would expect Essendon to finish above Carlton despite losing to retirment 2 of the club's Top 3 goalkickers in 2009, (Lloyd & Lucas), remembering that Lloyd's 5 goal game in the Round 3 clash was the difference between the 2 teams.

Yes Fev leaves a significant hole in our forward line, but Essendon's KP forwards don't exactly have many runs on the board, heading into 2010.

Re: Carlton or West Coast in 2010?

Still not over something from 6 months ago. Time to move on, the world isn't going to stop just for you.

What the **** are you on about?

Funny, you were

Post 11 (by one of your mates) is reference to a post I made in the days after the Round 3 clash between Carlton & Essendon & that is what I was referring to in my response to that post.

A word of advice to you & your blokey mates on here, don't comment on something you know nothing about.

The only post I was referencing was the one I quoted, I have no ****ing idea what you're blathering on about.

I look forward to being better than Essendon. Again.

Finished with 3 more wins than them, with half a backline. Their forward line is no better than ours minus Lloyd and Lucas.

I love it how Essendon keep mentioning their 5 wins over us in a row - doesn't really have much to do with the current topic.

Essendon were extremely lucky to make the 8 last year. And i wouldn't be suprised to see them miss out next year.

So many things wrong with this post. If it weren't so late I'd pick it apart.

So the question is, Carlton or Essendon, and records between the two aren't relevant?

Congratulations on making a complete fool of yourself. :o

I'll wait until the draw comes out. I don't think either team is going to be good enough to forge their own destiny next year.. it will depend on who they have to play.

I will say that if Essendon has a bit more luck on the injury front (we've been decimated for two years in a row) we'll be a lot better side.

Carlton are due a few injuries - their prime movers in Judd, Murphy, Kreuzer, Fev and Gibbs have played pretty much every game for the last two seasons.

We play 22 rounds a year, correct? 2 of those against each other, correct?

You would say that 20 rounds against other clubs is more important than 2 between us, correct?

You do realise that, even though you have beaten us consistently, we have finished above you on the ladder two years in a row, correct?

You do realise that this thread is about who will make the finals, or finish higher on the ladder, correct?

Do i need to keep going with this..?

FMD, here we go again....

The thing is....Hawthorn will probably make the 8 which means probably either Carlton or Essendon will drop out. There is also a possibility that one of the other bottom sides could push the other out as well. WCE are a chance.
Makes the debate on who will finish better out of Carlton and Essendon pretty topical.

Jonoman... prior to our flogging of you late this year, Carlton supporters used your consecutive victories over us as evidence for your "superiority", despite our consistently better position on the ladder. Don't try to have it both ways!

But I agree anyway, Carlton was better than Essendon in 2009, and will be in 2010. But I do rate both lists.

Correct.

Nope. The thread seeks to answer who will finish higher in 2010, the records between the two sides are incredibly relevant, and worth looking at. Just so happens that Essendon are making a habit out of smashing your pathetic team

You do realise that, even though you have beaten us consistently, we have finished above you on the ladder two years in a row, correct?

Wow.... two whole years. You do realise that we have finished above you three out of the last five? Talk about grasping at straws...

You do realise that this thread is about who will make the finals, or finish higher on the ladder, correct?

Yep, perfectly aware of that.

Do i need to keep going with this..?

I really wish you wouldn't, you've dug a massive hole, and people like you (and I have seen several), refuse to admit when they have done exactly that and just clog up otherwise constructive threads.

Carlton are in big trouble mate, and I LOVE it :D
