Carlton easily, unlike Richmond they have a decent midfield and will be a good one if they get Judd. Decent foward line but weak backline
Overall:
Midfields Carlton > Richmond
Rucks Richmond > Carlton
Fowardline Carlton > Richmond
Backlines Carlton = Richmond
Depth Carlton > Richmond

Carlton's depth is shocking... and if Fevola was injured for a sustained perior of time they would have the worse foward line in the league. Fisher looks the good and Kennedy will be okay, but without the big Fev they will be copping the best tall defenders every week. Richmonds foward line depth is much greater with Richo, Riewoldt, Polak, Schultz and Simmons as the talls and Pettifer, Brown, Deledio and Jackson as the smalls

Carlton's midfield is probably just better then Richmonds now that they have Judd. Richmond have plenty of young talent including Foley, Edwards, Conners, Deledio who will all be 200 games + Coughlan (who is just as good as Stevens) and Tuck

Another flaw, is the ruck department - IMO Carlton's rucks are much more settled then Richmonds. Richmond have a single expirenced, yet underdone ruckman in Troy Simmonds and although he is one of the best in the league, at this stage our second best is a 30 game Pattison. While Carlton have two hacks like Cloke and Ackland, by years end they will have Kruezer plus Hampson who will be a gun

The Blues just have so much more talent and upside on EVERY line compared to the Tiges, I find the comparison pointless. The Blues are in the process of assembling the best talent ever seen at this level, and are embarking on the challenge of moulding this talented list into a multi-premiership outfit. Everyone is clamoring to be a part of this success story e.g. Judd. The Tiges have had around 10 failed rebuilds over the past 28 years. Last year, despite having a very mediocre list, they were claiming to be able to make the top-8. Reality hit, and a solid bottom finish resulted. I've reviewed the Tiges list, and there are massive talent holes on EVERY line. Finishing low on the ladder is OK if you have promising younger players coming through, but they don't. Assuming Terry doesn't make any more draft mistakes, it's going to take another 4 years of bottom 4 finishes before the Tiges can acquire the necessary talent. Perhaps comparing them to another unfolding list disaster like Essendon would be more appropriate. :)

Rofl, your talents are wasted down here in the polls board parrot.

What an absolute pisser.

I am a fan Parrot.:thumbsu:

Carlton.

I won't go into depth, but how much do Richmond supporters want to overrate their players? "Probably just a bit better with Judd". Haha, yeah, right.

Carlton should be striving for top 12 next year and with the inclusion of Judd will come along way to achieving it. The draft picks in earlier years has enabled us to assemble a strong developing list who will be in flag contention over the next decade for extended periods of time. The rucks are very even if not in Carlton's favor as Richmond have the one under-done ruckman in Simmonds and Pattison is a work-horse, the likes of Aisake, Hampson and Kreuzer will continue to put pressure on Ackland to preform and would easily beat Richmond's present and future ruck depth. Carlton's forward line will continue to be known as a super power of the competitions with arguably Australia's best full-forward in Fevola still young and Fisher, Kennedy, Betts, Waite provide targets and smalls around them prove a deadly set-up when on song which was proven against Port and Western Bulldogs as the blues kicked a winning score without Fev's assistance. The midfield speaks for itself with the inclusion of Judd releasing Murphy to do damage in 2008 along with Stevens, Simpson, Walker, Carrazzo, Gibbs and Scotland very quickly becoming the competitions best midfield. The backline is a worry but you will find with Ratten's game plan it will improve. By settling the back 6 you will find a much better result than what pagan delevired. The Carlton side should not only finish above Richmond in 2008 but for the majority of the next decade.

Richmonds list is discusting and is no comparison to carltons, We tanked half the season and still couldnt finish lower then use. Richmond fans think some of their players are good or are future stars but uve gotta realise when u put 18 players out onto the feild some of them are ganna look good, someone has to be getting all the disposals, the truth is richmond are in for a long ride down the bottom, and we are just coming out of ours:D

That's what you guys said three years ago. Your list is woeful, just like your spelling, grammar and sentence structure

Very funny poll.
Carlton easily for me, but not suprised poll is so close.
All clubs hate Carlton, particularly at present. Tigers really dont cause much of a stir as nobody was around when they were a strong team and most just ignore or pity them at present.
A bit like a Buckley vs someone worse than him poll (Say Crawford or Kouta) Buckley will never get the votes he deserves.
Nor will Carlton in this poll.
