You obviously don’t put as much of a premium on kick goals as I do. He has done that more than anyone in the VFL over the last 2 years. We are crying out for players other than H. And CC to do that in the 1s

Don’t think his game would transcend into the 1’s. Glad to have him at VFL level however.

Jack Silvagni syndrome (but without his sheer work rate and effort), too short to be a KPP, too slow to be a harrying HFF. Crocker is a good player at VFL level but you can see he doesn't work that hard.

That's why the call it VFL
And the VFL is the competition that fringe listed players trying get a call up for senior selection play in. Crocker has been in good form for 2 years and provides an option in a position we are lacking, a goal kicking mid sized forward.

Interestingly we elevated a centre square mid from the VFL that had also been delisted from another club, to play a completely different position (wing).

Crocker has had 2 stints at AFL level and we aren't the only side to not give him a 3rd gig

Crocker plays as an undersized full forward at VFL. Don't think the way he plays would translate at AFL level. He also misses alot of easy shots on goal and is pretty selfish when it comes to burning team mates in better positions.
Crocker would play a role like Rohan, WHE or Jamie Elliot (I know he is shorter but plays more as a marking target than a crumber) at senior level - pacy midsized forward. From what I have seen Crocker is a good kick at goal. He may miss too many difficult shots where he should do the team thing, but that is a function of him trying to impress and often not having much talent in the forward line. Was waxing with Honey a couple of weeks ago giving off to each other inside 50

The pies were stacked with players who played a similar role ( Stephenson, Elliot, WHE, Thomas).
He was at the Crows during the Covid year and had is fathers health issue to deal with.

No one else gave Hayes a ago does that make that decision wrong?

And perhaps the club saw Hayes as a better option for our list. If Crocker gets another gig, great, but I think we have better options on our list
