Talk about the talent that is unavailable. Stevens, Waite and Kouta are three of our most talented while Angwin would have been elevated for Waite if not for suspension. A lot of ammunition in that lot. I understand that Bowyer is also likely to miss with an injury?

Not a very strong side but a couple of x factor players in there. The whole forward line is potentially awesome but could just as easily fail. When Angwin is ready to be elevated, I believe that De Luca might stay which means someone like Prender will be dropped. Bowyer for Hulme or McCormick. Stevens in for Davies and Kouta back for Clarke I'd say. Waite in for Bannister perhaps. Those few changes will make the world of difference to the side obviously.

Although i am a fan of McCormicks but Denis hasn't really used him all that much in the practise games. If Prendergast is fit i think he will slot in there somewhere. Livo may need a few more weeks in the reserves.

How certain is everyone of Adrian De Luca playing in the 1st round. He played well in praccy matches but is he ready for the big time?

I would think that not being able to elevate Angwin due to suspension, the absence of Kouta and Prendergast to injury and Waite who also plays with height, we need someone else as insurance. Mott is underdone, Beasy has done nothing in the preseason, looks like there is nobody else. Wasn't De Luca overlooked in last years draft? Has an extra year or two on most younger blokes so may be able to handle it. The fact that he is agile and can kick a goal gives us a lot to think about.

After Norman's good form in the VFL, I hope he comes straight into the backline.
