We will win pretty easy tonight...we will have their foward line covered. Im really excited about our defensive half now, abit diff to the last few years with thornton and "livo". Waite is going great down there, makes a few turnovers but will start to find his feet better more time he spends down there. Plus fev will kick a bag;)

Also who else has been really impressed by cam cloke, he has played great the last few games, and will become a very good player who us over the years and stick it up the pies. Scotland now cloke...thanks pies
Also does anyone know how bryan is going down there?

Dont think tonight's game will be easy :o Glad you're excited though, it's so good to have footy back and for us to be winning games, even though it's only pre-season, it can't hurt our boys' confidence! :)

Cam Cloke is certainly impressing me! Should be a great combo during the year, with Ackland and Cloke sharing ruck and forward duties.

Go blues!

I would like to see a shoot-out between Brown and Fevola. Never seen Johnno Brown play in the flesh so i cant wait.

The fact we will have a more potent forwardline with Bradshaw out, makes this one a win for us. Will have more goalkickers in Fish, Kennedy and Lance.

They will have to rely on players like Power to kick a few goals if they are a chance.

Has Kennedy been named for sure?

Love lance to kick a few goals tonight. But the one i'm hanging out for is... Gibbs's first goal :)

Gilly1972 went down to Skilled Stadium today to watch the reserves and Bower & Jackson were both playing, as were Blackwell and Grigg. One guy that wasn't there was Wiggins, so I would imagine the changes are:

In: Kennedy, Wiggins

Out: Bower, Jackson

Rightio ta for that.

He got there at 1/4 time, and his standouts again were pretty much the same as last week - Blackwell, Grigg and Anderson. Benjamin played, did some nice things, but needs to work on his kicking. Hampson was quieter this week, although did some nice work in the ruck.

Hopefully Gilly will be able to write a more in depth report when he returns home.

Bit surprised by Wiggins. Maybe they felt they needed some more grunt as BL might try and play hardball. Kennedy for Bower also adds a bit more bulk. I was expecting Hartlett out, but given his game last week am pretty happy if he plays. He's is a bit more able to throw his weight around at this stage too.

We have been missing a forward line for the entire competition - that's nothing new. Bradshaw is yet to play.

We still have over half a dozen missing from our best 22.

Don't mind that they have bought Wiggins is. Always gives 110% when he is in the team, and love the way he puts defensive pressure on his opponents when he is playing in the forward line.

Silly threads that just get used for trolling when it all blows up. If we win, it was a 50/50 bet so you can't be seen as a genius. If we lose, it comes back and bites you.

Carlton rightfully go in favorites tonight, but don't threads like this just set you up for embarrassment should the upset occur?

How confident are you TBD?

That's what Footscray and Geelong thought.

Exactly.
Should be a good game, but I just think Carlton might have the edge.

Problem with a rebuilding team like Brisbane is that if they get a good plan together in a match that seems to work, they can get off to a good start and can pull off a win. The Bulldogs game two weeks ago is case in point.

But if their gameplan gets disrupted (like the Cats did to us in short intervals last week) then we have a tendency for our lack of experience to show and to panic and lose any semblance of structure.

I think Carlton, being at a similar development stage as us, would be equally susceptible to the same phenomena. I don't think it will come down to simply Fevola or Brown tonight, it will come down to the team that can play with confidence and composure to stick to a plan, and the fitness/stamina to fight to the end.

With the slightly less hectic travel schedule over the past month, I'd give the edge to Carlton 55 percent to 45 percent Brisbane. That margin is still well within the boundaries of "anything can happen".

Should be fun though.
