They were seduced by the cult of Ken Hinkley. We understand how that feels. We were all aware how Crazy Vossy went at Brisbane yet Carlton ploughed ahead regardless. It was a bizarre appointment at the time and looks worse now.
Oh well, at least Cripps got the 3 votes last night.
8 more years for the full Hinkley experienceCarlton won't sack Voss. Not yet.
They will stubbornly keep him for the next 3 seasons due to the shame of not wanting to sack another coach.
Then they will hire Damian Drum on a 6 year deal.
Buckley did coach a bits-n-pieces side to within two minutes of a flag, in fairness.Would you take Bucks after the Mick debacle?

Yeah i think i remember that..Buckley did coach a bits-n-pieces side to within two minutes of a flag, in fairness.
Apologies for bringing it up again. But I won't cover your therapy.Yeah i think i remember that..
It's wonderful to see a Fremantle supporter being so magnanimous and supportive of West Coast. Truly a testament to the Australian spirit!Whoever suggested Pyke needs to shut the hell up. He is doing a great job at WC and must remain there as long as possible.
He didn't really say that surely?Because he can't coach.
There was an article which mentioned when he arrived and how he sat down with the players and asked them what kind of game style they would like to play.
At the time I thought who the **** cares what the players want. You're the coach, you're the one that has to come up with the game plan to bear other teams game plans.
Voss is utterly clueless when it comes to that aspect of the game.
He's the league's easiest coach to out coach.
He didn't really say that surely?
He's in big trouble. They've got a good list that should be competing for top 4, yet scraped into finals and lost their only final.
The spine is probably as good as they get, Jones, Weitering, Walsh, TDK, Cripps, Curnow and McKay. I really can't think of a team with a better spine.
0-4 means top 4 is already essentially out of the equation (barring a massive run of wins).
Again, like many many teams this season, fitness appears to be a problem. I can't recall a season where i've seen so many teams with players absolutely cooked in the third quarter - particularly this many games into the season. Have the game plans got even more demanding?
Not sure any of these candidates would be much of an improvement?Who is available right now?
Buckley
Longmire
Simpson
Bevo (uncontracted?)
Kenny
Be different if CALLUM URCH was playing10 points total

By asking Ross to actually present a case as to why he should be coach?
Why's that? Where have the Saints finished the last few years under RTB?The Blues got it ass about.
They should have been presenting a case as to why Ross should coach them.
At least Carlton have the draft to look forward to so they can reload and look at bouncing back next year.Serious chance for bottom 4 make no mistake.
North are more competitive this year and already have 1 win, and West Coast ran Brisbane to a few goals at the Gabba a week ago, wouldn't be penciling in that one at a neutral venue. Wouldn't be surprised if we lost to both and went 0-6, then the real fun starts fixture-wise.
Yep, Harry Dean and Jack Ison look like guns!At least Carlton have the draft to look forward to so they can reload and look at bouncing back next year.
Look at Adelaide they had a bad year last year and have bounced back strongly this year.

About as much as you are battling with the English language. As said Blues have all been found out nowadays.
Blue their chance in 2023.
Dark times ahead.
From reports Steve Silvaghi and Greg Williams are looking to throw his hat in the ring and become coach.
Bit of soul searching now.
Carlton are the new Essendon and vicer verser.
Both are battlers.
Blues draft hand this year is terrible, traded away picks to move up the order. At least Carlton have the draft to look forward to so they can reload and look at bouncing back next year.

If blues lose this week against eagles, the writing will turn into bright neon lights announcing Voss has the “full support of the board”And 2023 the writing was on the wall.
Bottom 6 is very likely, last couple of wins helped, test is this week against the CatsSerious chance for bottom 4 make no mistake.
