Surely you rate Buckley? I thought he was good at Collingwood. Longmire can clearly coach. Personally I’ve got reservations on recycled coaches as they never seem to work out.

I’d be going for an experienced assistant at a successful club. I’d be looking at Collingwood, Geelong, Brisbane etc. Danny Daly is supposedly seriously rated.

Longmire & Simpson seem completely burnt out. Both of them (especially Longmire) were seriously good coaches.

Buckley has a lot to offer, just don’t think he’s right for either a Carlton or a Melbourne.

Carlton will want success within a few years, it’s a hiding to nothing of a role.
