Barring really bad injuries of course, I'm fairly confident even at this stage we could get the job done, but it will certainly be an interesting game.

Seeing Fev at the other end of the ground against us will be weird however...

And no Judd, but yes, it will good to play without him for a change.

im pretty confident in a win here!
we beat them twice last year, should have been 3 times and what will be different, besides the obvious loss of Fev (no impact in the EF) and no Judd, but add Mclean, and do you think the 'new look' brisbane side wit all there boom recruits will gel and work well together, i dotn think so... its a MASSIVE change bringing 5 new players into the side

im VERY confident that fev and brown will get in each other ways, id be more worried about playing them later in the year, rd 2 is perfect!
No impact? Your coach said Fev was your best player in that match!?

Honestley had a dream lastnight that Fev was lining up for his 15th against us.....prick wrecks our club culture for 11 years and now he is haunting me in my sleep!

Pretty stupid by the AFL. Way more interest for this game in melbourne. The Judd vs West coast match was played there. Which was smart.

No Judd + In Brisbane (pissy little crowd, vast majority haven't even heard of him up there)= Not much interest for mine.:thumbsd:

Played in Round 4 friday night in Melbourne 45+ at dome or 50+ at G, Judd playing = Plenty of interest.:thumbsu:

If this does eventuate, i'm going to fly up there and watch it live. As for the matchups, i'd go with:

Jamison - Fevola
Setanta - Brown
Bower/Thornton/Bradshaw

That's even if Bradshaw plays forward. I wouldn't mind suggesting that he might find himself in the backline more often next year. No point of having an amazing forwardline if the defence can't stop leaking goals at the other end.

If the 3 of them are in the forward line, then I would prefer:

Setanta - Fev (might have the speed to at least keep up with Fev and force him to dive for frees that he never gets)
Thornton - Brown (has done well on him in the past)
Jamison - Bradshaw (kept Bradshaw goalless at Docklands this year and Bradshaw only fired up when Jamison went off injured. Bradshaw then went on to kick about 6 on Bower, so unless the pre-season sees him get ALOT stronger, he's not an option for Bradshaw - or Brown for the same reason)
