I keep seeing signs that he is pulling it together but then other times he looks out of it. .. we've seen what a lack of Pre-season can do with players like Murphy, Rusty, etc in the past. .. Confidence is hard to get back when its lost. .. Agree with the calls to plonk him at FF and let him play a simple game. ..

Thornton would add more up forward atm. At least he can mark. Kicked a few in the 2's I think. But this is band-aid stuff. He's not the future. LM is the future.

Want. .. Although I am a fan of TBirds. .. He isn't a star but provides good meat and potatoes and best of all the flexibility/willingness to help out up forward or down back. ..
I suggested a similar forward line last week but here it is again (from memory). ..

Yep, need to start playing these young blokes, to get some time into them. Lucas is another that should be played more regular. Never going to get the smarts they need playing the 2's.

Really baffles me at times that more of teh long kick down teh guts isn't employed...yeah everyoen says a turnoer in the middle is certain goal - but that is assuming there is a turnover..I remember old games - where that was a standard play - stack the center..frees up teh wings for teh faster guys..

Robinson kick's inside 50 was perfectly weighted to draw Hampson to the ball and allow him to run into the gap to mark. Guess who Bruce McAvaney criticised after Robinson made the right call and didn't kick to a two/three on one contest.
Pathetic that McAvaney is still calling with Commetti. The other flog called Gibbs Jamison after he showed good desperation and smothered Breust's snap from the pocket. Jamison was off the ground due to injury.

And yet he played well against the Cats and the Dees. Nobody expects the kids to play well every game, but they need to play some games.
Perhaps I'm expecting too much, but to say he played well against Geelong is simply wrong. 7 disposals and a number of goals kicked on him...And against the dees, the onlt thing of note was a bump on Green.
