OK, what do you think about Thorton coming in? I reckon his just wasted on the 2'sWalker is wearing lead boots atm. Never seen such a vast divergence in form.

Yep, need to start playing these young blokes, to get some time into them. Lucas is another that should be played more regular. Never going to get the smarts they need playing the 2's.Thornton would add more up forward atm. At least he can mark. Kicked a few in the 2's I think. But this is band-aid stuff. He's not the future. LM is the future.
This may be true, but he will be a better player for the experience.Everyone's saying play the kids, which is fair enough, if they're ready. Bootsma was just plain embarrising on Friday. He needs time in the two's to develope. No point rushing ion kids when they're clearly not up to it...yet
Tommy Hafey managed it.

Jesus JaB are you dyslexic or a cross between former Pakistan fast bowler Halfeez Handmissin and Kath Pettingill...get you bloody "h's" etc in order son....Really baffles me at times that more of teh long kick down teh guts isn't employed...yeah everyoen says a turnoer in the middle is certain goal - but that is assuming there is a turnover..I remember old games - where that was a standard play - stack the center..frees up teh wings for teh faster guys..
No wukcing frories knakcresI am amulti tasking gru boyo! the spelling sometime is collteral damage..wot you think I am on thi forum because I happen t hav emy eyeballs glued on thi screen ?![]()
been some bad blood between Ratts and Tex latelyWalker was absolutely flying in the pre-season. I had never seen a player perform cleaner and sharper than what Walker had on show.
All that is but a distant memory now. The boys were pushed very hard through blocks of time and I wouldn't be surprised for a thorough review of the training process at years end.
Not saying it was wrong but it was noticeably different to the year prior.

Perhaps I'm expecting too much, but to say he played well against Geelong is simply wrong. 7 disposals and a number of goals kicked on him...And against the dees, the onlt thing of note was a bump on Green. This may be true, but he will be a better player for the experience.
Champ, I never said he played well. I said he would be a better player fir the experience of playing against a quality side.Perhaps I'm expecting too much, but to say he played well against Geelong is simply wrong. 7 disposals and a number of goals kicked on him...And against the dees, the onlt thing of note was a bump on Green.
You idiotWell its time to forget the Hawks game and cross our fingers for tonight. .. I'll be there, taking the new GF for her first Carlton game, second game ever, so hopefully the boys don't dissapoint too much
So one final vent for last week:
