hume ran out the game............. didn't hear anything about a bung shoulder. Did see him injure it though. I read that walker had a good first up game. Considering the size of the bench, i'd name walker and play him for a quarter or two. Think angwin is a monty after his form in the resies. OO used to be a happy hunting ground, but that's changed, having said that i think we might scrape through, giving campo his first win as captain....... (Acting captain).

Fevola on Scarlett- will be a great contest.
I'm really interested in this result, hopefully Geelong play their strongest side & see how we go against a side tipped to do very little for 2004.

This is great news! Setanta's straight in after only one game of Aussie rules. So hope he goes well.

No Angwin.

Kouta out - Setanta in!

Carlton coach, Denis Pagan, has pulled a surprise selection for the Blues Wizard Cup round 2 match against Geelong at Optus Oval weekend, giving Irish recruit Setanta O’hAilpin his first chance to play for Carlton. The squad, announced at 12.00 midday today, saw only one change from last week’s team that demolished Sydney, with Anthony Koutoufides coming out of the side with hamstring problems.

O'hAilpin impressed last week playing in only his first full game of Australian Rules football for the Northern Bullants against Coburg last week.

The only reason i can think of is that he is on the rookie list and Pagan isn't going to give him a shot in the seniors until a LTI even if it's the wizzer we need to play our players who will be in ou r firsts.

tend to disagrre with u guys. i think geelong should win easily. also look out 4 a best on ground performance from every carlton supporters hero darren milburn. should be good to c him return 2 the scene of the crime lol. he only plays one decnt game a year aggainst carlton. so u guys keep booing him 4 us. geelong by 40. scarlett will again shut down fevola

Fevola to bag 5 and the Blues to win by 25 points.

It'll be a good game, but I think we showed enough last week to get over Geelong.

geelong comfortably, at the worst ground in the afl. also except Milburn to fire and scarlet to show All Aussie form

Who cares? It's 'pre-season', since when has anyone put their faith in pre-season games? Don't know about you, but I never have!

Like I said who cares? I had a great day. I put a TV on my sun deck, we had prawns, crayfish and ice cold beer, the sun was blazing down and best of all Carlton looked a lot more competitive than they have for the past 2 seasons.

Enjoy your pre-season, Rizzo. I'm sure it won't last!

hmm some1's nor sour:rolleyes: we have to get excited now because when the season comes there will be nothing to get excited about

Didn't offend me, I just thought you said something extremely stupid in the AFL board about Setanta.

A twenty point win isn't what you call "comfortable". It was close all day! I'd say it was a reasonable margin.

As Thompson said, we did feel that we were in control for most of the day.

Not often we can say that.
