Not at all, the picture is a half full/half empty cup of water, illustrating that all of PeeKay's 'concerns' are a matter of perspective

2 points would be fine by me, but i see your point!
every team has a chance every time they play, thats the way of the world.
i think we can scare them if we play our best footy, ala say when we played the pies, now wouldnt that be odd?:thumbsu:

key is the midfield battle. bentick, murphy, judd, stevens must beat their opponents collectively. Its hard to stop all of geelongs midfield, ablett, corey, ling, bartell, but collectivly we can.

i dont really rate geelong's forward line, i think they all contribute without a genuine superstar. waite is a HUGE loss but with t-bird back i think this is one forward line we can keep underraps. just hope steve johnson has another quiet one :p Also, ottens will be fatigued early and i feel we should really be able to get on top in this department, escpecially with cloke's ability to roam around the ground.

Delivery to the forwards is vital and ill probably be the difference in the game. if we play up the wings like against the dockers we wont win. we need to attack the corridor and fev needs to get on his bike and lead, because if he stays at home and we bomb away to him they will outplay us.

i never tip against us and i wont start now. of course we can win. anyone can beat anyone these days. if you have a good day anythings possible. but alot of things have to go our way for that to happen.

Looking at the 18, we look like the Harlem Globetrotters,
look at the 22, a bit of toe.

Meow, Meows are missing Chapman,
Ottens will go bench - bit of ruck - goalsquare - bench.

Ablett and Monica are the worries,
tough ask for Armfield,
but he has to go with one of them.

Handbags are seasoned, but vulnerable.

Bit of self belief, who knows.

if we had 0 injuries then we would have a chance
Correct.

Our side at 100% with Jammison, Waite, HArtlett and Walker, with everyone playing well as we did vs Pies, would go close.

The Cats will need to reproduce their form of Friday night and we would have to better the Pies performance.

Don't rate our forward line?

The same forward line that has averaged 144 points per game against your mob over the last 4 games?

The same forward line who's key forwards kicked a combined 13 goals against your mob last year, while our second best goalkicker last season was sitting on the sidelines serving a club suspension?

Yeah, our forward line isn't much.

ive has a feeling all week.
we can do this, just like we beat collingwood, all we got to do is apply pressure and we'll do it!

GO THE BAGGERS!!

Carlton: 17 9 111
Geelong: 16 12 108

Goals:
Carlton: Fevola 7.3
Judd 2
Betts 2
Fisher 2
Armfield 1
Simpson 1
Murphy 1

B.O.G - Gibbs with 29 touches

Here is another fact:

Geelong will win by 60+.

Armfield to be towelled by whoever his opponent is.

With no Waite, and Scarlett on Fev, not even the most optomistic Carlton supporter can think we are even half a chance.

Attack and defence have proven to be equally important for the Blues this year.

Out of our 4 wins, we have scored 100+ points 3 times and have kept the opposition below 100 points every time.

Of our 5 losses, our opposition has scored 100+ points every time, while we have scored 100+ only once in those losses.

I wish to say farewell and goodnight to the Blues this Saturday, no hope in hell to get a win here. The mighty Cats have been stung after a bunch of fleas got under their guard and now it will our turn to pay. I will be happy if we hold on for a 20 - 30 point defeat.

I get it! If we score more than 100 points against Geelong. And Geelong score less than 100 points against us. We will most likely win. :D :D :D
More to the point, we are unlikely to win if we don't score 100 points plus but more unlikely to win if Geelong score 100 points plus.

It's pretty obvious but we need to get it done at both ends and that is no mean feat with the Cats defence.
