This is going to be an interesting game, and would have told both clubs a lot about how they are travelling. As it stands, it's likely to only tell us a bit about Carlton's depth. On paper you'll start favourites cause of our outs. My guess would be

Fev - to take the week and miss
Waite - will play
Fisher - won't play
Lappin - won't play

Kennedy was a week away from a call-up and may come in for Fev, but the Bullants had the bye this week so he didn't get the extra run he probably needed. O''hailpin is another possibility. Not sure who would come in for Lappin if they decided to give Fisher's hammy the extra week, Bannister or Blackwell probably.

Good luck! (but not too much :p )

I am confused! You spell like a Magpie lover, but your sentence structure suggests you support the Tigers. Are you certain you are a Carlton supporter? THIS JUST IN...leccas (aka Lekkas to intelligent beings) missed Saturday's game in Geelong due to the fact that HE RETIRED AFTER THE 2005 SEASON!!! Also, etc has not played one game this season. Neither is expected to be in the side for Friday night's game with the Blues.
Other than that, both of your posts in this thread were clear as mud. Could you please have a semi-literate English-speaking adult translate your future posts so that some of us could understand what you are trying to type?
The fact that you would "like to knock a few commentators heads to gether" suggests that you have a propensity towards violent behavior. Are you posting from prison? Blaming the commentators for an umpire's report of Fev is a little like you blaming MADD A (Mothers Against Drink Driving Australia) for receiving a traffic fine for speeding.
And please tell me when the Blues last won "with of Fev"?

Unfortunately the Waite and the Betts are pretty good. The Waite son has a chance of doing a bit of a Rocca, ouch. The rest 1's and 2's from mids and other forwards.

Dont underestimate the Blues. Watched them at TD last week against Sydney; they can move the ball from D to goal. Luckily for us they just dont do it often enough. Too much stuffing around not providing leads, lazy or inexperienced stuff. Expect about 12-15 goals no more from them.

If Fevola gets a week for what he did, then you should get a lifetime ban for what you've done to the English language. Carlton play like you write. Without structure or meaning.

I thought Waite was injured? Betts should be shut down by Sewell or Ossie.

Waite: He is injured but... he is listed for testing along with Lappin & Fisher.

With Fev out this guy has to come in even if not 100% and he's young, not like a Barker for instance :(

As regards Betts, I was impressed with what I saw last week. Wish Harry could play like him. In a group that is pretty ordinary, Betts stands out as a footballer with some class and ability. (Of course giving him a rap like this means he'll play like a dog this week, which really is ok for us :))

This is a real danger game for us backing up from a great win last week . Carlton have definately improved on last season but so have we , and we do have the better list . I think it will be pretty tight early but I would expect us to win by around 4 goals . With Carlton's outs we have no excuses !

Fisher , Whitnall , Setanta, Betts ....not as potent without Fev but underestimate them at your peril .

losing Waite, Fev and lappin has clearly made the Hawks favorites and if they don't get a win here then questions need to be asked

Think that (under-estimating) should be the thing AC and co drum into our heads this week.

Confident but not over-so that we disregard that the Blues are going to be doing their best for the four points just like we should be doing.

Hawks are paying just under $1.50 to win
Carlton just under $3...

Wonder if the lineup changes have affected those odds over the last few days.

Bodes well though.

one thing gets me about the hawk forward line all the crumbing is done by midfeilders running into the forward line. bring in harry miller to crumb the packs and leave the on-ballers to have a break outside 50

where is harry neway

If Osborne plays on Betts, he'll kick 10. His defensive game has turned to ********house. Better off playin him in the forward line with stints on a wing...

The Blues have a lot of pride and will have their ears pinned and backs against the wall. They are certainly capable of taking the four points if the Hawks don't give their absolute best effort. I believe the Hawks are better than the Blues but the difference is not so significant that a Blues win should send Hawks supporters out on a window ledge. Young teams run hot & cold and that is what AC has to work his team past. Friday night is a perfect opportunity!

Hopefully we smash the Blues, we must to continue off from our good work last match. We are better than the Blues, have a better list, more skill and class so we must lift and apply the same pressure as last week. Big match for us!
