Simpson has been more solid than Wells so far, including having a better year last year. He's also more consistent.

Wells finished second in our best and fairest last year.....

And last year was Kade's breakout year, Daniel has been well known since his very first season.

Don't get me wrong, I am a huge fan of Wells', however I too have been extremely disappointed with his inconsistancy at AFL level.
Finishing high in the Kangaroos BF is hardly an achievement....I doubt it would be too difficult.

Well, seeing as Kade had a better season than Daniel last year, and Carlton finished 16th, id expect Kade to have at least finished 1st or 2nd in the Blues b & f?

Didnt think so.

I like Simpson, but i think he is largely overated for the one decent season he has to date.

The top 5 U/23's from those lists are;

1. Murphy
2. Gibbs
3. Simpson
4. Walker
5. Thornton/Wells
Thats just ignorant. Gibbs hasn't played yet and shown stuff all in the NAB cup so far, Walker plays a shut down roll with no creativness and can't kick and you can't tell me any oppisition worrys about the impact the Simpson will have on a game. His a good player that gets alot of it in the back half but Wells is a player teams need to stop. I'l give you Murphy though as equal to Wells but Murph will pass him.

Most of us stopped taking this guy seriously after his second post.

Teague won our B&F in 2004 and there were players who had better years than him.

Yours is indicative of a more even spread of performance. Was Wells truly your 2nd best player last year? And how close was the count exactly? You have to realise that B&F are sometimes not the best indicator of player performance because the resutls are just plain strange sometimes.

IMO going on form Kade would've been under Fevola and Whitnall in terms of performance last year. Maybe put Stevens in there too. The difference is that while you probably had the performance shared by several, we've only the few who actually play very well for the whole year. I suspect a more even spread will move us up the ladder this year instead of relying on a few players all the time to get us through.

Psst:

Before anyone notices, you have Swallow ahead of Simpson. Kade is the guy that went to Ireland. You have also got Thomas, Campbell and Riggio on your list.
