Would actually say its something like this:

1. Wells
2. Murphy
3. McIntosh
4. Thornton
5. Jesse W. Smith
And what has he done? Nothing, and on talent, Gibbs is better, therefore under your logic for that spot, the choice should thus be Gibbs.

However I wouldnt even say Gibbs should be there, I'd say the top five would be:

1. Murphy
2. Simpson
3. Wells
4. Thornton
5. Swallow/Walker

Thus underlining the sorry state the Roos are in.

12. Lindsay Thomas
Credibility. Yours. GAWWWWN.

You're actually sad. Bit like the team you follow.

Credibility. Yours. GAWWWWN.
Credibility is a word you should be staying well away from.

A top 5 is hard, a top 10 is easier.

1. Wells
2. Murphy
3. Mcintosh
4. Thornton
5. Jesse W. Smith
6. Josh Kennedy
7. Andrew Swallow
8. David Hale
9. Bryce Gibbs
10. Lachlan Hansen

top 20.

11. Kade Simpson
12. Lindsay Thomas
13. Michael Firrito
14. Andrew Walker
15. Brad Moran
16. Anthony Carrazzo
17. Matt Campbell
18. Sentanta O'hAilpin
19. Matt Riggio
20. Sean Hampson
Do you watch footy with your eyes shut?

Walker would be ahead of Smith since JWS has done nothing just like Bryce and AW is a great rebounding defender who can play on talls, mediums and smalls. Don't believe everything you read about Walker being a bad kick because he's better than the consensus on here and it's all just rhetoric. Trotter is reportedly a good kick like Steve Johnson from the Cats and both are looking like busts for altogether different reasons.

You said the same thing about Grigg and he's a good kick of the football.

Swallow isn't in Walker's league and is a poorer kick than Carrazzo and Walker combined.

Sporn won a Rising Star nomination as well.

Psst:

Before anyone notices, you have Swallow ahead of Simpson. Kade is the guy that went to Ireland. You have also got Thomas, Campbell and Riggio on your list.
Walker was told he was going to Ireland as well but groin surgery cancelled that trip.

Sheedy mustn't read BigFooty. ;)

Where do i start?

1) JWS has actually played a game of AFL football
2) JWS has played a full season in the VFL, in which he was in the best players 12/15 times.
3) It is a agreed in the media, that JWS is one of the hottest young prospects in the AFL, the only reason you dont is because he has been injured. (Which of course, because you've never seen him, makes him as potentially good as Trent Sporn  )
4) Im basing it on potential, of which Jesse is a faster, running version of a James Clement.

1.2) Swallow is currently in the best 5 players to come out of last year's draft.
2.2) Is one of/if not the best young inside midfielder prospect in the compeition.
2.3) Swallow has the following advantages over Walker: Is alot faster, is fitter, stronger and more courageous, as well as having leadership well beyong his years.
2.4) Swallow wasnt the no.2 draft pick ;)
2.5) You really think by the end of his career Swallow will be on the same par as Trent Sporn? Probably the next Captain of the NMFC.

So on performance, Brad Moran is ontop of Hamish McIntosh, whom Sentanta O'hAilpin is subsequently ontop of both? bwahaha :D

No Carlton bias here people. 12 of the 20 being Carlton players who from memory, finished last. Stick to playing with yourself Charlie Brown. :thumbsu:

Only 12? Should've been more, soon will be when Gibbs and Russell step up. We finished last because of our lack of experienced, and a small senior squad (we have 3-4 players over the age of 28). That's hardly the fault of our kids who are obviously a class above.

But you'd know that if you knew anything about football, outside of which pub Kerr is getting drunk at on the weekend of course  :thumbsu:

I highlighted the points i found ridiculous or humorous.
I'll answer to them one by one.

How many touches did Jesse get? I didn't hear much about him in his AFL game:rolleyes: :p

The VFL is a lot different to the AFL. Plenty of rookies and duds such as Sporn shine or in Sporn's case shone in the VFL. Stupid thing to say.

What do the media know about football? A player called Michael Stinear was once rated to be Carlton's next big thing. LOL

Well yeah, you just said it, it does make him just as good as Sporn.

A faster, running version of James Clement? Lol i could say Gibbs is the next Hird or that Hampson is the next Dean Cox but with a bigger leap.

Swallow has nothing on Murphy, Thomas, (Ellis' potential), Dowler, Kennedy, Pendlebury, Or those various players Richmond acquired.

This next one made me laugh the most
Swallow is not even in the best 30 inside midfielder prspects in the AFL
How dare you compare him to Murphy

Walker is a hell of a lot better than Swallow. Walker matches up on players taller than him and shorter than him. He can jump with the tall and strongs and run with the speedsters. Walker is stronger, faster and more consistent than Swallow, especially considering Walker was thrown into te deep end straight away and proved he could handle it on debut with 26 disposals.

Fianlly, Jesse W Smith has done nothing to prove himself.

What a stunning argument

Look obviously you know nothing about football outside WA so prehaps you should just stick to West Coast/Fremantle threads in the future. You're out of your depth here and it shows.
I know that the Kangaroos are a fair bit better than Carlton, and thats all anyone needs to know. :thumbsu:

Stop posting now please, your embarrassing yourself.

Maybe you should read the thread next time before you post. This isn't about who had the better team at present but who has the best players under 23 years of age.

I know what it's about. And apart from Murphy they do. Funny that more than half who voted for Kangas are supporters of other clubs yet votes for Carlton are about 98% Carlton supporters. Wow, what a revelation!!

And yet if you take all Carlton and Kangaroos supporters out of the vote Carlton still gets more votes with ease. Amazing that

You're such a try hard :D

I'm actually pretty confident in the potential of our youngsters.

As for Simpson v Wells. IMHO, a little biased as it may be, Simpsons gone past him in the last season and a half. Much happier now we got him in the 2002 draft at 45rather than Goddard and Wells as the 1 and 2 we could've had except we cheated. Wouldn't have minded one of them though. I certainly have alot of time for Wells, just think Simmo's kicked on that much.

Wells = overrated. In his fourth season, more than 2/3 of his games were under 20 touches. At his best and most effective he's great, too bad he's never at his most effective, stands of the pack waiting for a cheap handball recieve before handballing it or chipping it sideways.

Marc Murphy, meanwhile, in 13 games has done something that Wells hasn't been able to do in 88; four games in row with over 20 possessions, despite being tagged. Touches aren't everything, but when your as classy as Murph they mean a hell of a lot and his last month he played better, more consistent football than Wells has ever done in his career.

Therefore, Murphy > Wells.

JWS, in the top 5:confused: . What exactly has he done at AFL level to deserve that?

Simpson at 11, all credability lost. Simpson would be higher than everyone else on that list, barring Murphy and possibly Wells.

Walker at 14:D . No idea, these Kangaroo supporters. Top 5 without a doubt - how you can include guys who haven't even played an AFL game above him defies belief.
